May Day is the starting point of summer fun, even if some of us are only dreaming of warmer temps.

May 1, 2026 is Bealtaine (or Beltane), a major Celtic fire festival marking the start of summer and the "light half" of the year, traditionally celebrated around May 1st (May Eve/May Day).
It signifies a time of fertility, protection, and new beginnings.
Get out there and dance, leave an offering for the fairies, and celebrate!
Henry Update:
The H Man followed me into the bathroom yesterday, for the first time in weeks.
Then he found his catnip fish toy, and chewed a hole in it.
πΉ
Still working through the switch from the PM appetite stimulant dose to AM; he doesn't eat much until hours later, so his breakfast bowl sits unlicked.
Because I open his B12 and probiotic capsules to mix into his food, I must shuffle my approach so I know he's getting the meds.
~~~
You are doing great work with the H Man
ReplyDeleteHenry everything your mom is doing for you is to make your tummy much much better. I like the cartoon where it shows we jumped from March to May. With the weather we've had I can only cross my fingers that in a few weeks it'll warm up. I see we're going to have Frost here for about four nights in a row.
ReplyDeleteWe love the Mayday 'toons. We hope Henry continues to improve!
ReplyDeleteGood funnies. Glad Henry enjoyed his toy. I mix the probiotic with a bit of gravy from canned food and syringe it into Penny's mouth. Usually works unless she spins her head at the last minute. XO
ReplyDeleteThat precious little mouse in the flower!
ReplyDeleteWe were sure ready for May but it's gonna be cold again next week. Henry, it's time to feel all better sweet boy.
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed working outside in the chill air today but it is getting a bit ridiculous. lol Happy May Day!
ReplyDeleteHappy Mayday!
ReplyDeleteHenry, take your meds!
A third of the way through the year already... Trying to medicate a cat is a science unto itself.
