Disaster Averted and Angels

Yesterday, not one of the Eastside Cats ate their breakfast!

Sweetie: "Nope!"
The PO'M: "I'll be cute instead of eating!"
Chili Bruce: "I'd rather be here, thankyouverymuch!"
Manny: "The top of the fridge is far enough away from that food bowl!"
The can that we'd opened for them was from a case that we'd been using for weeks, and they'd all eaten happily before.

Guess it was a bad can, even though we humans could find nothing wrong with it.

However, when food is rejected by ALL...

Thankfully, they all ate their new food later, but I, for one, was a little concerned....well, okay, I was freaked out!

And then, I remembered that angels are watching over us.

Did you know, that seeing the number '1' repeated, is a sign that your angels are nearby?

Multiple ones means that they are telling you that you are safe, and on the right path.

I take a screenshot when I notice multiple ones
How appropriate: Celestial Angel and real angels!
I am thankful that there was no disaster, just one missed cat meal.

I've been noticing multiple 'ones' for over a year, and whether true or not, it soothes my nervous monkey mind during this very unreal time, telling me to relax, as I have guardians looking out for me.

  3. I’ve had cats refuse food, though in my household, it takes multiple refusals for me to believe there is something wrong with the food, the beasts are so fussy. And since each likes something different, it’s not rare that one won’t like what another is eating. But Cammie refused a new tin several times; I opened a new one for her and she ate. I tried the ‘bad’ one more than once later, with the same result. The cats know what they want and what they don’t, so that tin went into the garbage.

It’s unnerving when a cat who is usually very good about eating won’t touch his dish; my first thought is always that something is wrong with the cat, and not the food…

  4. Cats are smart and if all of them won't eat then there's something amiss. I'm glad they ate later.

I didn't know about the 1s. I'll be on the lookout from now on.

Have a fabulous Thankful Thursday. Scritches to the kitties. ♥

  6. Not eat?! That would totally freak me out! I didn't know about the number 1 - your angels were working overtime, and I am so glad they were.

  7. Yep toss it out when rejected by ALL!!
We always giggle when we see 11:11. Years ago when our daughter was learning to tel time digital clocks watches were popular. One time her Daddy asked her the time she replied 1 1 dot dot 1 1. We decided right then no digital clocks until she learned to tell time correctly.
Now another fun 11:11 feeling. Thank you.

  9. As far as food goes, The Tribe likes to wait until we are about halfway through the case of food that we loved...and then refuse to eat certain flavors.

We've never heard about the "1" . The Female Human will be paying attention to that. We have heard that if you see a cardinal it is believed that it's a loved one who has passed visiting you.

  10. I didn't know about the multiple 1s. But that makes sense. I don't know that my crew of kitties have ever rejected food, but if they do, I will know perhaps why and GET RID OF IT!

  11. It could be one bad can of food. Especially since no one would eat...but ate later. We didn't know that about multiple 1s. We'll keep an eye out for that.

  12. I have read that cats are more sensitive to food that is "off" (I have had them check milk I wondered about by pouring out a tiny bit.) So it is very possible there was one peculiar can. Sometimes I find a dented can - even inside a carton - and am always very conscious of the reaction to it when it is opened. Just glad all ate later, but we agree it is peculiar to have NONE of them want to eat - our outdoor cats will usually eat anything the indoor cats shun.

  13. That is odd that there would be one bad one in the batch. Smart kitties knew they didn't want it. Than you for the puzzle. XO

  14. I agree that it must have been an off can for them all to refuse it. I didn't know about the 1s either. I wake every morning at 3.33. I wonder what 3s mean.

  15. We are glad to hear that is was a freaky thing and not a serious problem.
The chances that all cats rejected the food...phenomenal! Let's hope it was a one of...

  16. Whoa! That sounds like real gut rot you tried to feed them. I didn't eat breakfast either.

  17. I would freak out, too, if they all refused to eat! I agree it was a bad can and am glad they ate the new food :-)

  18. Sometimes our pets don't eat because they know it drives us crazy

  19. Oh yes, good job kittehs! You knows the peeps don't have as good sense of smell as we do! Sometimes we gots to let them know when it's no good.

  22. We have a whole case of watery food that Jezebel rejected. At least the manufacturer replaced it. Kitties are smart. ~nods~ I'm glad you had more to offer them. Take care!
