What a purrfect day to introduce my niece's new kitten!
Meet Eevee!
Isn't she a doll?
Her big brofur is Magoo, whom I adore:
And, I rummaged around to find photos of Sweetie's two babies, from 2009:
Hobo was kitten-sitting Sneakers and Honey on our driveway. |
Sweetie, with her kittens |
Sneakers making like a meerkat |
Honey turned out to be a boy |
A neighbor took the kittens, and we TNR'd Sweetie.
Now, she's living inside with toys, beddies, food, and cuddles galore!
Now if Da Boyz will stop hissing at her...

Hi Eevee! What a cutie-patootie! Your niece will love having a tortie! I fell in love with Magoo on your site and started following him on Instagram, what a doll. Sweeties kits were darling, I'm glad I'm not the only one who get the gender wrong and totally mis-names - MOL!
ReplyDeleteWhat precious darlings, all! I hope the boys can accept their big 'sis'.
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet kitten.
ReplyDeleteHer coat is all dappled shadows. Take care, pretty one!
That second photo of Eevee shows her tortoiseshell attitude already. And Magoo is of my Josie's tribe: white with tabby spots and a ringed tail. It must be a specific dna type. And on that subject, Sweetie, an all-black cat, had traditional tuxedo and Siamese kittens?
ReplyDeleteWe figure that Magoo is a Turkish Van, or has at least some of those genes.
DeleteAs for the parentage of Sweetie's kittens; I witnessed one Siamese male about 1/2 mile from our house...once. And for her tuxedo kitten, could have been Sammy (see his photo on the left side). Hobo, however, was her 'husband'; he stayed with her, hung around, and kitten-sat. But, neither of her kittens looked like him.
