That Hard Good-Bye

Farewell, Magoo.

💔 😿 💔

My niece's cat Magoo experienced a sudden and unexpected downturn, and was helped to The Rainbow Bridge this past Saturday.

Magoo was a stray kitten found in the backyard in Ohio, and traveled to many places with his human.

I last visited with him and his fursis Eevee when in New York in 2025, and both cats slept with me on that occasion.

Love you, Magoo.

Hugs and purrs to his humom, and to Eevee.

Eevee in 2025; she's missing her big brofur.

Magoo was the first cat in my life to jump up to visit me in bed, and that is a memory that I'll always be thankful for.

💔 😿 💔

Jackie Avery from Two Devon Cats Blog, also known as Memories of Eric and Flynn left us recently.

Am sure that Celestial Eric and Flynn ran right up to her as she entered The Pearly Gates!

Delayed

Am typing this while still in New York; my flight to Detroit has been delayed for over two hours due to storms.

Therefore, here are a few pics of my cat companions during my trip:

Eevee
Magoo
Leyla, housepanther and Maui, tortoiseshell

Magoo and Eevee own my niece.

Leyla and Maui own my nephew and SO.

We visited:
The Metropolitan Museum of Art
The Museum of Modern Art
The Frick Collection
The Whitney Museum of American Art
The High Line
Chelsea Market
The Comedy Cellar
Saks Fifth Avenue
Nordstrom
Washington Square Park
Central Park
Schooner Adirondack tour on The Hudson to see Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island, and views of the New York Skyline

Hoping to get out of here before midnight; The Hubby will be waiting at the airport for me, no matter what time I finally arrive.

He says I'll have to buy him breakfast.

Cat Lady Day!

National Cat Lady Day is celebrated on April 19.

Made a slideshow of a few of the cats that I've shot ussies with:

And...it's Caturday!

Ussie of Sly and me, and I simply tweaked the color a tiny bit in iPhoto.

Love Week Day 1: All Cats

 Cats are cool!

Besides The Eastside Cats and 'Hood cats, we seek out more.

Cats that we've visited far and wide:

Waffles, from Glogirly, in Colorado.
Summer, from Summer's Fabulous Cat Life, in Chicago, Illinois but lives in California.
Pawfficer Donut, Troy Police Department, Michigan
Magoo, my great-nephew, now in Chicago, Illinois.
Bookstore cat in Royal Oak, Michigan
I would visit and buy books, just to hang out with this kitty and her sisfur.
Sadly, this bookstore closed years ago; the cats went home with the owner.

Postcard: Apartment Cats

A postcard from my recent trip to University of Chicago, in Illinois.

Day 3: Cats

Our first Magoo post July 27, 2014: Mr. Magoo Finds A Home

Magoo
Eevee

Magoo and Eevee moved to Chicago a little over a week ago.

Their human has a new job, hence the new apartment.
The cats have a great view of Lake Michigan.

Lucky kitties!

National Cat Lady Day

I am a proud Cat Lady!

Cat Woman, Cat Smoocher, Cat Enthusiast...call it what you will.

Photographic evidence below:

The PO'M
Me and Guy
Handsome Sly
Celestial Angel
Sweetie
Magoo, my niece's cat
Blurry Da Boyz!
Adoptable kitten
Celestial Chuck
If I can get my lips near them, I'm gonna plant a kiss on their soft, furry noggins!

However, I think this holiday should be changed to National Cat Enthusiast Day, to rope in all of the humans that don't respond to, "Hey, Lady!"

National Kitten Day!

What a purrfect day to introduce my niece's new kitten!

Meet Eevee!

Isn't she a doll?

Her big brofur is Magoo, whom I adore:

And, I rummaged around to find photos of Sweetie's two babies, from 2009:

Hobo was kitten-sitting Sneakers and Honey on our driveway.
Sweetie, with her kittens
Sneakers making like a meerkat
Honey turned out to be a boy
A neighbor took the kittens, and we TNR'd Sweetie.

Now, she's living inside with toys, beddies, food, and cuddles galore!

Now if Da Boyz will stop hissing at her...

Thankful Thursday

I am thankful for my good fortune to have traveled several times to do wonderful cat things in 2019!

In March, I visited Loganberry Books in Cleveland, Ohio:

This is Otis, who lives at Loganberry Books!

On that same trip, we visited the Cat Fanciers Association Feline Historical Museum in Alliance, Ohio:

Outdoor cat shelter designed by the famous architect Frank Lloyd Wright

I also attended the 2019 CatVideo Fest at the Detroit Film Theater:

The shirt I wore to the CatVideo Fest!

I had the delightful experience of meeting Beatrice Friedlander and her husband Donald, who run Attorneys For Animals at the All About Animals Rescue Gala in April:

Advocates for Michigan's animals!

May caught me traveling in Colorado, and had the great pleasure of meeting Glogirly, Waffles and Katie:

Waffles carefully investigated my bag; Glogirly made sure he didn't climb in and leave with me!

The Meow Meetup in Chicago occured in July, and it was SO MUCH FUN!
Here's only one link to the multiple ones that I posted:
I've even taken a class on how to read Tarot Cards now

Visiting Black Cat Pottery is always a treat, this time in August:
This is Pandora, Dora for short
Or should we just say, ADORABLE?!?

Another film festival, The New York Cat Film Festival, arrived in September:

Seen at the Royal Oak Main Art Theater
A November visit to the Toledo Zoo and Aquarium in Toledo, Ohio was fantastic:

Image of Greta, the mother Snow Leopard at the Toledo Zoo

And in December, I visited my other boyfriend...Magoo!

Such grace and style; Magoo had eye only for me

Thank you for joining me on my journey back through 2019!
Where will I go in 2020?

Monday...Magoo!

I spent the weekend in Lebanon, Ohio, with my sisters.
My niece, nephews, and their special friends joined us, and we ate, drank, and were merry.
We attended the Lebanon Horse Drawn Carriage Parade & Festival, for the 2nd year in a row.
We shopped, gabbed, snarked, giggled, and had a lovely weekend.
Thanks to my sis and bro-in-law for their terrific hospitality!

Here are a few images from the parade:

And, there was Magoo!

Magoo currently lives at my sister's house, but his mama is my niece.
Soon, she'll move into her new apartment, and Magoo is going with her!
She's created an Instagram account for his chonky handsomeness: @mrmagoodles.

When I arrived, I whispered to Magoo that he needed to up his game, since he was a stand in for my five cats at home.  Sure enough, he was a cat for the job!

His fur is bunny-soft, and while a large dude, he plays with abandon and there isn't a human that he doesn't enjoy.  He slept on my blanket-covered legs, and allowed me to carry him without a peep or a flick of whisker.

I loves me some MAGOO!!!

💗💓💗

Update on Angel:
The veterinarian reports that her blood work was normal for everything except a low B12 level, which is a sign of intestinal problems.
An ultrasound is scheduled for next Monday, and then a consult with the vet.

Since she's been taking the Cerenia, she's been holding her meals inside, and wants to eat, eat, EAT!  The Hubby is carefully doling out small amounts of food many times a day, hoping to lessen any vomiting spells.
Thank you all for your concern, and I promise to report updates.

💗💓💗

Paddy O'Malley will return to his properly scheduled post next week...LOL!
