What is Curious Events Day?
I dunno, but here's what I've noticed:
Mushrooms.
They are everywhere!
Huge fungus seen while in the 'hood. |
Mushrooms growing under my Prickly Pear, and next to Pussytoes. |
Some sort of tree fungus. |
Very curious!

Sly is handsome and the art is lovely. Thanks for the puzzle.
ReplyDeleteWe get field mushrooms growing at this time of the year. I have to be quick though before the horses step on them.
You certsinly seem to have out allover with the fungus. They are all rather splendid, too. Maybe all the rain and warm has brought them out, just for this very day?
ReplyDeleteA nice autumnal efffect for your artwork, we especially love the aura/whiteglow around Sly's coat edge.

Lovely art!
ReplyDeleteWe've seen a few mushrooms here too.
Yep, I've been seeing mushrooms a lot lately too.
ReplyDeleteAt least those things don't take up much room MOL! Sly looks artsy fabulous!
ReplyDeleteI think that tree one is a shelf fungus. They infest and eventually, takes a while, kill the tree. Here, when it shows up in too much abundance on the trees the City chops the tree down.
ReplyDeleteI want to do this one! I need the distraction . Thanks
ReplyDeleteI think the fungus is trying to steal your keys.
ReplyDeleteCool mushrooms. My hubby and I have been having fun finding them too and even eating some ( after making sure they were safe). Thank you for the puzzle. XO
ReplyDeleteThose darn things are popping up all over the place out here. Dad says the tree ones look like someon stuck a bunch of animal crackers to the tree.
ReplyDeleteOne will make you grow larger, and one will make you grow smaller (mol)...
ReplyDeleteOnce every dog had its day. Now, everyTHING has its day! There is always something going on. The second photograph looks like pancakes...
ReplyDeleteFall is mushroom picking season around here. They are everywhere here too! Yours are much more interesting than ours though! We LOVE your picture of Sly and we can't wait to do the puzzle!
ReplyDeleteOh, autumnal fungi <3 They're so amazing!
ReplyDeleteSly is cute!
Oh my mouses... Some of those are HUGE! I bet there are fairies livin' in some of those shrooms. Always be careful of fairies, my friends. Some of 'em are quite mean. MOUSES!
ReplyDeleteYou have prickly pear, too? I know they are actually native to Ohio, but one little pot spreading has become difficult to hold back over the last few decades. lol They drag soil across concrete with their roots! Don't you hate glochids? Fungi are cool, too, and much less aggressive and potentially painfully. Thank you for sharing.
