At The Park

It's Caturday!

The Hubby and I ventured out to the nearby park a few times recently.

I'm a Pisces, and being around water revives my energy.

Lake St. Clair Metropark is only 15 minutes from home.

There is the lake, wonderful walks through the woods and marshes, and we often can see downtown Detroit and the Canadian shore.

Should any of you come to visit us, we'll make sure to visit this lovely park!

The image of the lily pads, now artified with Prisma, was taken as we rambled along.

I've been to several bird lectures at the park Nature Center, for owl and migrating bird knowledge, plus the native plants that are everywhere.

In addition, there are delightful displays of local turtle, snake, frog, and fish species, and every employee is friendly, helpful, and dedicated to teaching humans about the park's ecosystem.

  1. You really live in a great location. And that pond pic is something else. It's great to be close to nature while still having all the benefits of a large city. We're Canadian by the way, but quite a bit further east. So I guess we're Eastside, too!

    1. We have the unique pleasure of living NORTH of a bit of Canada! Luckily, as a kid, we watched CBC television, and therefore were hockey fans from early age.

  2. That looks like a lovely place to visit. Sadly, our #1 is unlikely to head you way anytime soon, but if you come across the pond, make sure to give us a shout!

    1. It is lovely, and even better, we have another park within 30 minutes, which is much more wooded, hilly, and birds.
