Lost my Aunt to cancer on Sunday.
She loved cats, and when we talked on the phone, we'd share our adventures in catdom.
When I was a girl, at my great-grandmother's funeral, a person unfamiliar with the family asked my Aunt if I, who stood next to her, was her daughter.
A running joke from then on, she was 'Mom' on cards and letters.
She taught me a few swear words in Polish, and she had a lovely laugh.
Farewell Mom; your time on Earth is done.
