Henry Update:

Paws crossed, the anti-nausea med has made a difference.

Friday morning, the full bowl of noms left overnight* was empty.

I put out his breakfast, and he ate it.

He ate the snack I put out (breakfast #2), then ate his dinner, and now licked up another snack.

Henry's become a gentle sweetie, tolerating a lot of handling with little collateral damage.

Keep on chowing down, dude, and we are all going to do a happy dance.

*We don't leave food out for any of the Eastside Cats normally, but rules were relaxed in an attempt to coax Henry to eat.

How you can help:

Talk to your family, your neighbors, the guy in line with you at the coffee shop.

Educate them.

Many legislatures are working to get this made illegal in their jurisdiction, and it takes WE THE PEOPLE to push to make it so.

It's a travesty.

 There is no reason that this surgery should still be legitimate ANYWHERE in the WORLD.

I've fired all of my previous veterinarians, to choose one that will not perform a declaw.

While legislators work city by city, state by state to make it illegal here in the States, things aren't moving fast enough for some of us, which is why we talk to other cat lovers, chat up folks at the library or grocery store, and educate on why it is against common decency to maim one's cats in favor of furniture.

Grassroots knowledge can be key to saving another cat.

Am thankful for anyone who is fighting this fight.

Only visit no-declaw veterinarians.

Talk to friends and family; make your voice heard.

Support legislatures as they bring bills to ban declawing.
