Lazy Sweetnesday!

Sweetie: "Sure is comfy and cozy on this here bed!"
"WHAT?!?  Where did the quilt go?  And what is laundry day?!?"
"Hurray!  Back to normal again...Ahhh!"
The Mom: Note Sweetie's lack'o teefs!

She has one canine on top, and one on the same side on the bottom, and just two wee teefs in front that no one can see.

Nickname: Fangs!

Thankful Thursday: Farewell Cat Car #1

How can I be thankful for saying farewell?

Because, if Cat Car #1 had not protected The Hubby...

He was stopped at a red light, when he was rear ended by a driver who did not brake.  The impact pushed Cat Car #1 into the car ahead, and that one into the car in front too.

Almost appears to be smiling...😿

Both driver's and passenger airbags deployed, even though The Hubby was the only inhabitant.

Not fixable!
The Hubby has a couple of bruises, and a swollen finger, but is otherwise alright.
He's mad and sad that our beloved car is wrecked.
I am thankful that only the car was damaged; the human contents are invaluable!

The funny thing about this (because, we have to laugh at something!), is that The Hubby had just finished our laundry at the laundromat, so three baskets of clean clothes were sent flying on impact!  Lucky for him, none of my ladies unmentionables were found hanging off the rearview mirror, to embarrass him when the police arrived!

Therefore, Farewell, old Cat Car, but thank you for doing your job!

Cat Car #2 has been on the job since October.
I so loved having matchy matchy cars!

The Furring of the Laundry

The Hubby did the laundry!
I am a lucky woman!

Wait a minute...

What the hey?

More evidence...

...and nicely FLATTENED too...

"Oh sure, blame me!"
"Well, Angel, it's white fur...and only you
wear that color, just sayin'"

The Cat Who Smells Like Laundry

Chucky as a basket kitten
A rare togetherness image

Chuck, on basket lookout
I vant to be alone!
Chuck loves the laundry baskets.  When younger, both Chuck and Angel hung out there, but now it's predominately Chuck who finds either a clean clothes basket or a used one.  He sleeps in them!  Either way, his fur retains the perfume of the laundry soap.  We can find the most fabulous cat beds on the planet, and the cats will simply sleep on our stinky socks or smelly, sweaty t-shirts.  Thankfully, only the soap* smell clings!

*Chuck has also been known to get a good rubbin' when his humans have been working in the kitchen, therefore sometimes he smells like dinner!  Or freshly-ground coffee...
