I found a really large scratcher, big enough for two long cats, and they enjoy it more as a perch than a scratcher.

Then, they curl up together in the front window, and drift off to snoozeland!

Deluxe Scratcher

The Hubby created a 7-1/2 foot tall scratcher pole for Da Boyz!

With a carpet tube that a nice carpet store man gave me, and other found materials, he whipped this together.

Chili Bruce likes it!

Da Boyz will climb all of the way up to the top, and I am thankful that The Hubby is handy and thrifty, and of course, for the nice dude who allowed me to take away his detritus.

The Angel abides

Because we have sectioned off the house into zones: The Apartment, The Parlor, The Front Room, and Downstairs, we have duplicated water bowls, litter boxes, and toys in each zone.  We needed a scratcher for The Apartment, and I found one rather by accident while shopping at a nearby pet store.

Truth be told, I really want a big, hunkin', and expensive cat tree, and a big, hunkin', and expensive scratcher too!   However, in the hopes that someday we'll no longer need these zones, I opted for a simple, largish scratcher...for now.  Cost: $20, and it's plain, no frills, and all of the cats use it.  Score!

The Kittyslab is 20 inches by 15 inches, and about 2.5 inches thick.  Surprisingly, Angel takes up a little bit more territory on it than she should, but nothing is left to fall over the edges, so 'slab' is a good descriptor.  There is more info available at http://kittyscratchers.com/.

Cat Chat With Caren and Cody has Angel in today's post!  How cool is that!

Angel really loves the scratcher bed that Cody gave her months ago, and today I received a 2nd scratcher, to make it a double-wide!

Angel simply loves to laze around

I purchased the 2nd Kitty Couch myself, after receiving the first one months ago as a gift from Cody. When we are home, The Hubby and I will place the two couches face to face, so they become one big, wide bed for Angel...and Chuck too!  Angel gets the bed about 80% of the time, and 20% for Chuck.

Meeting up with Caren was a blast, and we'll find a way to meet up again.  We both live in Metro Detroit, after all!  I hope to meet Cody and Dakota too, someday.
