No Sheets For Me!

Angel:  "No Mama!  You CANNOT have the freshly washed sheets!  They are mine, MINE I SAY!"
I finally sent The Hubby upstairs to Angel's Apartment, to persuade her to give up the laundry!  I was prepared to find alternative sheets for at least one night, since Angel seemed so very comfortable.  The Hubby, however, had no qualms about booting her from the bedding basket.

Afterward, I refilled that basket with a few of my sweaters and sweatshirts, because I felt so sorry that we'd taken away her happy place.  And, what do you think, is it time to get another basket...one with handles, for gosh sakes?!?

Taken in 2004, when Angel and Chuck were first adopted.  They enjoyed the same baskets then!

  1. Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh that is such a sweet photo.
Our first Cat loved the laundry and helping with changing linens. Angel Madi always thought those were 'staff' jobs. LOL

  2. What is wrong with these men?!?! The Boy has no qualms about moving the cats from their havens of feline solitude. I mean, I can't imagine how a cat feels ... all of a sudden being told to vacate the premises and being evicted? For NO reason? Angel, you truly live up to your name :)

  3. We love fresh laundry too, and our humans wait until the last minute to disturb us if they need the sheets on which we're sleeping. Purrs

  4. I think you should get a new basket just for Angel. And fill it with her very own set of sheets. But be sure to wash them once a week so she can feel the freshness. Problem solved!

  5. Aw, so adorable. You should each have a basket. Nothing better than warm, clean laundry.

Have a purrfect day and weekend. My best to your mom. ♥

  8. Fresh laundry is definitely a cat's happy place. I vote for leaving Angel her basket and buying new for you.

  11. Sometimes, it's very difficult to evict a cat from a spot where she's comfortable, even if you really need them moved.

  16. Hee! Hee! Our washing machine in the townhouse is right upstairs by the bedrooms, so the sheets usually get dumped on the bed and folded right away. Now Mom had to contend with Kozmo and Jo Jo - who LOVE to sleep on the sheets in Midway!
