Sweetie's Silly Spa Day

Sweetie has tons of loose fur.
Yesterday, I simply finger-combed her, and the stuff just flew everywhere!
See the gob of loose fur on Sweetie's head?
I broke out an old hairbrush, and once Sweetie got into the groove, we had a pile of fur!
I staged this image below...but wait!

and then...

and more...

Hahahaha!
That Paddy O'Malley, what a silly cat!
He'll photobomb anything...

In a second spa session last night, I brushed Sweetie for a full 30 minutes.

Yep, that's a HUGE pile of Sweetie's fur!

Funny how her fur has a shade of pink to it; that's not a camera glitch.

  1. It's getting warmer and they are shedding that unnecessary fur. Oh what a happy time for keeping it cleaned up.

Have a purrfect day, Sweetie. My best to your mom. ♥

  2. I love how POM just has to get involved with everything! Sweetie is such a pretty girl, I'm glad she got some spa time.

  3. When Madi and I started blogging we had a blogging friend who also had a spinning wheel. She told me to save Madi's fur. After a while I showed her how much I had. She told me to send it to her. She spun Madi's fur (mixed with her Newfoundland Dog, Remington's fur). I had 70 yards. I made Madi a blanket with her fur mixed in with bought yarn and a scarf for myself. I'm so glad I have it.

  6. Ha ha ha PO'M, desperate for attention (I won't tell anyone). Sweetie also has mahogany tones to her fur. Her underfur looks dilute (gray) because of its texture, but it is also mahogany, hence it looks a little pink.

  7. You could build another Sweetie with all the fur you got off her.

  10. that's a lot of furs! would be fun to spin it into yarn and then knit some fun stuff! I've been attacking our cats with the brushes as much as they'll tolerate as they are letting go of their furs!

  12. Wow. We hope she's okay. She's probably grateful for the loves - and because it's much cooler without all the insulation. I haven't seen that much loose fur - even from a Furminator before.

  15. Oh I know she felt like a zillion dollars once she got that long brushing. Any brushies really. To have brushies is just the ultimate happening of a kitty day!

  18. I wish I had the time to brush all my cats as often as they need it. I try but there is no keeping up with their fur.
