Yes, it's very cold outside!
The snow falls, and the wind blows.
And yet, there is beauty.
Can you see the sparkles? |

A Winter sunset |
At first, this bitter cold put me in an emotional tailspin.
Worrying about The PO'M, being anxious about our old house, and the idea of my daily walks in sub-zero temps made me upset.
I've adjusted, however, and I'm out there walking, and I spend time with P'Ommy in my lap, and there is nothing as luscious as a toasty bath before bedtime!
I am thankful that I have a roof over my head, the means to keep a warming pad in The Cat Hotel, time to snooze on the futon with Da Boyz on top, and watching Sweetie as she observes the snow falling outside the windows.

ReplyDeleteI love the paw prints in the snow...that I know lead straight to your heart.
Warm hugs to you all
Cecilia
Cecilla, you made my heart smile with that last line.
DeleteWhat beautiful thankfuls and peaceful photos. Winter worries me too, our ferals and all the furbabies that have to survive in the cold - I live in hope that there to be warm shelter for all outside animals and warm homes for those that need it.
ReplyDeleteAll wonderful things to be thankful for. We'll all be happy when it warms up a bit.
ReplyDeleteHave a fabulous Thankful Thursday. ♥
It's tough not to worry about dear Paddy out there but your love keeps him warm. The snow is pretty though. Thanks for joining our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!

ReplyDeleteDad loved the snow and deep cold when he was younger and before he was injured. Good for you, enjoy!
ReplyDeleteLovely snowy photos. Paddy knows you will watch out for him.
ReplyDeleteThe snow is beautiful, but I think it's prettier when you don't have to live in it. It's good that you're finding ways to stay positive during the cold winter.

ReplyDeleteWe agree and are thankful for our warm house as it's 16 degrees today in our neck of the woods with a wind chill of 15 below! No walks for us or The Human today!
ReplyDeletePurrs & Head Bonks,
Alberto
I commend you for walking in this cold weather!
ReplyDeleteI wish PO'M would go inside like Sweetie. Hopefully it will warm up soon.
ReplyDeleteWe see strange paw prints is our snow. Is it you?
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos. We wonder if holding Paddy while walking would be warm fun for you both.
ReplyDeleteYou did it! IM happy you've found a way to get through this literally dark period and yes the cold and snow has been impressive this year. Glad your fur babies are well.
ReplyDeleteI went out well dressed today, and although it was 17 with some wind, I shoveled a path through the woods, carried everything we need (almost) to start a bonfire tomorrow night to start valentines weekend. Our last attempt in November was futile as the woods were just too wet. I think we will succeed tomorrow night!
Find the beauty: one need look no further than through your lovely wintertime photographs ...
ReplyDeletethank you.

ReplyDeleteI'm so glad you adjusted. ~hugs~ I think snow is beautiful compared to the barren lawns. :)
