Calendar reminders brought this incident up, that occured on today's date in 2015.
The original posts are here, here, and here.
This dog was discovered in my office parking lot.
He wasn't afraid, so much as completely bewildered.
Poor pupper. |
We found food and water for the dog, then coaxed it under the awning, as it began to rain.
Usie! |
He was horribly matted, and had gunk around his eyes, and filthy fur.
Nicknamed Troy, he was intact, and was most probably a dumped puppy mill dog.
Thank goodness for Paws for the Cause Feral Cat Rescue, because Laura answered my texts, then got to work using her contacts and social media to find a dog rescue group.
A ReJOYceful Rescue raised their hand, and within an hour, this fellow was on his way to a better life.
This is the beauty of networking; a co-worker who knew I was an animal lover, brought the stray dog to my attention.
I contacted my friends, who contacted their friends, and Troy was adopted after a short stay at the veterinarian.
Which is why it's good to share information about lost or abandoned animals on social media, and to share posts; one never knows who may fall across it and find help or a new ❤️!
One of the lucky ones. So many are dropped off and abandoned. Many don't survive very long. I love this happy ending.
ReplyDeleteBless you and all those that helps this precious pup.
Have a fabulous day and weekend. ♥
A happy ending to a sad story. He looks so different with all those mats removed.
