A postcard from my recent trip to University of Chicago, in Illinois.
Day 4: Witnessing Vice President Kamala Harris's motorcade in downtown Chicago.
Could be a once-in-a-lifetime encounter.
Well...there were two limousines with American flags, so the highest-ranked woman in the country just drove past us...but WHAT THE HEY!
Cool as heck; we were jazzed.
Despite current political insanity in the United States political system, I am extremely grateful for this unexpected sighting.

How exciting! I'm so sorry to hear about Cleo, what a cutie she was.
ReplyDeleteI wonder if she was headed to the Cat Cafe!
ReplyDeleteOur human would be stoked too! Reminded Mom of the time she was stuck in traffic as the Queen of England's Limo and entourage of 4 motorcycles and a back up limo drove by (and she was waving)! We were so sad to read about Cleo. She was a super lady cat. And Thanks for visiting us. We are stoked that Mom has some time to spend on and with us! We hope you have a marvellous weekend! Purrs Marv
ReplyDeleteThat is a once in a lifetime sight. I cried when I read the news about Cleo.
ReplyDeleteOur huMom once shook hands with Lady Bird Johnson when she and LBJ came to speak at the University of Akron. It is really an exciting thing to be so close to history.

ReplyDeleteWe were all very sad about Cleo.
You had quite the brush with greatness.
ReplyDeleteI was surprised at how much space there was between the vehicles; enough room for someone to run across the street between cars. An interesting sighting.
ReplyDeleteI'm devestated to about that news that Cleo is gone. I loved that gorl. Her parents did, so much.
ReplyDeleteWow that is so cool to have seen that!
