Staying Dry

February 10 is National Umbrella Day!
When I visited England a few years ago, I was chuffed to have remembered a mini-umbrella, which I carried in my tote bag every day, all day.

The only time it rained, however, was when we were touring the city of Bath, and it was such a light drizzle that I didn't even use it.

To keep the sun off myself, I wear a hat with a wide brim.

If you look in the back seat of The Cat Car, you'll find two or three compact umbrellas, just in case.

And you'll never guess how many times I've been caught in the rain while on my 'hood walks!

Yet, if I anticipate rain and grab my umbrella...it rarely actually rains.

*shrug*

  2. I really like the third caption about the umbrella. I keep one in both cars here. And there are times when I'm actually out and about that I do have to get it up and use it. I'm afraid I don't walk when it's raining.

  3. One of my little ones, years ago, insisted it made much more sense to call it a rainbrella.
