Say Cheese!

June 21 is National Selfie Day!

Manny gallantly shared his selfie, which I artified a few times, then made a collage.

In honor of June is Audiobook Month,

I recommend the following series by Kelley Armstrong:

Cainsville:

Omens (2013)
Visions (2014)
Deceptions (2015)
Betrayals (2016)
Rituals (2017)
plus three novellas

Olivia Taylor Jones’s world is shattered when she learns that she’s adopted.

Her real parents? Todd and Pamela Larsen, notorious serial killers serving a life sentence.

Olivia flees the media storm and ends up in Cainsville, a strange small town that takes a very…odd interest in Olivia.

She soon teams up with her mother’s appeal lawyer, notorious attorney Gabriel Walsh, as they begin to slowly unravel all the mysteries of Cainsville and the dark truth behind her parents’ crimes.

#NationalAuthor’sDay

November 1 is National Authors Day!

I primarily listen to audiobooks downloaded to my phone, and with speed set at 1.3x (I also am a speed-reader, something I was taught while a youngster in school), I listen while doing many other things all day long.

Some of my favorite authors, in no particular order, with links:

Laurie R. King

Robert Galbraith

C. S. Harris

Elly Griffiths

Diana Gabaldon

Nick Louth

Jim Butcher

Anthony Horowitz

Deanna Raybourn

Kelley Armstrong

Sabrina Flynn

My current 'want to read' list has 569 books, which does NOT include all the books in an author's series; just the first.

I am a member of several book groups on Facebook, and a question I ask people is, "What are you reading?"

I use Goodreads to keep track of everything, and have access to a handful of libraries AND a Audible account to feed my reading habit.

I am a reading addict; there, I've typed it!

Authors are amazing people; they create new worlds, characters, and emotions in their heads, then are able to publish these stories for the public's enjoyment.

The above images were found on social media, and included purely for the enjoyment of our readers.

So, what are you reading?

Tell us in the comments!

New Apparel

Most of you know that I am a HUGE resale shopper.

It's a form of recycling, no?

However, once in a while, I'll purchase something

SPANKING

NEW!

Cat and UFO Sweatshirt
I have a t-shirt like this also; I've mentioned this company before.
Probably because I visit their booth at every summer event that I can!
"He said nothing, very sarcastically"
Laurie R. King, Author
Have mentioned this author's Mary Russell and Sherlock Holmes adventure series before.
This particular line is quintessential Russell, describing the quintessential Holmes!
Rockton t-shirt
Rockton is a hidden community in Yukon, B.C., Canada.
Sheriff Eric Dalton and Detective Casey Butler maintain order in an enclave of folks who are hiding from persecution.
But just what kind of boogie man is each one hiding from...and is the danger from outside of the camp, or from those inside?

Disclaimer: I purchased or was gifted from Skinny Pete's Gourmet Catnip, Laurie R.
