Plant-based Writing

November 1 is National Authors Day

and

 World Vegan Day.

I recommend Jonathan Edward Durham's book "Winterset Hollow"; it's a sort of sci-fi, fantasy, locked-room mystery, but on an island.

Living the plant-based life.

I love to read, and I love to eat.

Authors are amazing humans, with characters and stories in their heads.

The Hubby and I have been vegan for decades, and there is more food available in stores and at restaurants now than ever before.

Since it's Caturday, here is a collage of Manny yawning which has nothing to do with authors or food.

I used several Prisma filters, then made the collage in Google.

Let's Hop!

Get Spooky!

10/31 is Halloween or "All Hallows Eve", and the start of Samhain, (pronounced Sow-wen), a festival marking the end of the harvest season on 11/1.

A good time to embrace the coming longer nights; the dark season.

Authors Day📚

📚 1 November is National Authors Day!📚

How best to celebrate?  Here are a few suggestions:

1. Write a fan letter to your favorite author

2. Walk the stacks at your local library, and discover a new book to enjoy.

3. Listen to the audiobook of something you've read before, and delight in the differences.

4. Become an author by writing your own book; November is National Novel Writing Month.  Learn more at NaNoWriMo.com.

5. Join a book club on Facebook or on other social media; your TBR list will grow, I guarantee it!

#NationalAuthor’sDay

November 1 is National Authors Day!

I primarily listen to audiobooks downloaded to my phone, and with speed set at 1.3x (I also am a speed-reader, something I was taught while a youngster in school), I listen while doing many other things all day long.

Some of my favorite authors, in no particular order, with links:

Laurie R. King

Robert Galbraith

C. S. Harris

Elly Griffiths

Diana Gabaldon

Nick Louth

Jim Butcher

Anthony Horowitz

Deanna Raybourn

Kelley Armstrong

Sabrina Flynn

My current 'want to read' list has 569 books, which does NOT include all the books in an author's series; just the first.

I am a member of several book groups on Facebook, and a question I ask people is, "What are you reading?"

I use Goodreads to keep track of everything, and have access to a handful of libraries AND a Audible account to feed my reading habit.

I am a reading addict; there, I've typed it!

Authors are amazing people; they create new worlds, characters, and emotions in their heads, then are able to publish these stories for the public's enjoyment.

The above images were found on social media, and included purely for the enjoyment of our readers.

So, what are you reading?

Tell us in the comments!
