This charming children's book is about a black-and-white cat who is mistaken for a woodland creature!  The author, Ellen Pilch, gifted me with a signed copy of her book.  After I read it and positively reviewed it on GoodReads, I donated it to my local public library for the kiddies to enjoy.  It's a terrific story, with cute illustrations, and no matter one's age, the story is timeless!

Thank you, Ellen, for your book!

Penny, a tortoise shell kitty who lives with Ellen at 15 And Meowing.com, sent me a gorgeous framed portrait of herself (with a few of Ellen's special crocheted cat toys), as a thank you for the shiny new penny and a penny blank that I received from the U.S. Mint in Denver, Colorado, and gifted to her.  Pretty Penny Cat deserves a pretty penny, no?  Read her post here.

Cute cat frame for Penny's image,
and a note from Penny too!
(Penny, you tell your dad that it's YOUR penny!)
Thank you, Penny, for your portrait!

  11. Maybe there can be a sequel to the book about the unfortunate events subsequent to a skunk being mistaken for a cat...
