MISSION OF WORLD ANIMAL DAY
To raise the status of animals in order to improve welfare standards around the globe. Building the celebration of World Animal Day unites the animal welfare movement, mobilising it into a global force to make the world a better place for all animals. It's celebrated in different ways in every country, irrespective of nationality, religion, faith or political ideology. Through increased awareness and education we can create a world where animals are always recognised as sentient beings and full regard is always paid to their welfare.

What a wonderful day. It should be every day and for many of us it is.
ReplyDeleteHave a fabulous day and weekend. ♥
Happy World Animal Day and weekend

Eeek...I usually post about this day but this year passed. World Animal Day should be every day! (well, it is...for you and us!) Great post!
ReplyDeleteHappy World Animal Day! It's nice to see so many events planned for this day.
ReplyDeleteA very important day!
ReplyDeleteAmen to that, most humans never stop to consider the impact of things on other species.
ReplyDeleteWhat? Ivan told me it was World Izzy Day. Was he just teasing me?
ReplyDelete~Izzy.
Thank you for the reminder of this important day.
ReplyDeleteIt makes me sick to think of all the animals that have suffered due to us stupid humans. For the most part, they leave us alone and any confrontations are our fault. I hate this notion that they're ANIMALS and we're HUMANS. To me, life is life no matter what you call it.
ReplyDeleteSandee's right: for many of us, every day is World Animal Day - but it doesn't hurt to have a special one for everybody else.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for posting this. It's very important to raise awareness for such events because most humans are too shallow to care! And of course, a lot are just pure evil and like to inflict such horrors on poor animals all over the world.
ReplyDeleteWe animal lovers should stick together and do all we possibly can to help.

Lovely post, Happy World Animal Day!
ReplyDeleteI agree we humans make life difficult for animals in many ways. Thank you for this post to raise awareness.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great "day" to have! Thank you for sharing this.
ReplyDeleteMore awareness sure can't hurt. Animals like us are just now beginning to be better understood and cared for, but there's still a lot of work to be done. Thanks for sharing! - Tomx
