X: extracted last week O: missing Adult cats have 30 teeth; Sweetie only has 4 now! |
I'll do anything to get her to eat, even if I must serve her on my bed! |
Cutie Sweetie! |
It's over a week since Sweetie had her dental extractions.
While not altogether a smooth sail, we've managed to get her meds into her by various means...or she's had to lick some off of her fur; oops!
All medications cease by the weekend.
Sweetie enjoys being combed, and is so playful when the mood is on her!
At night, she crawls onto my torso, and we sleep quietly together.
Some of her newer nicknames:
Sweet Pea
Midget
Wee Cat
Girlie
Gorgeous
😼😺😼
And an online jigsaw puzzle!
Having bad teeth removed is a good thing. Bad teeth will result in bad health. I hear you about doing anything to get her to eat.
ReplyDeleteHave a fabulous day. Healing scritches to Sweetie. ♥
gibz her sum peenut budder..........
ReplyDeletei lubs me sum peenut budder
Better have good and healthy gums than bad teeth that lead to bad health. Purrs
ReplyDeleteShe should be feeling better now that the painful mouth is going bye-bye. Such a precious gal.
ReplyDeleteSo things are improving with her, spot-surgery?
ReplyDeleteAs for getting a cat to eat, I get down on the floor and hold Cammie's dish of soft-food under hr chin for her to eat. She will sometimes eat from it if it is on the floor, and definitely when she and it are on my bed, but much of the time, I must hold it for her. Well, she is my princess…
Aww... she really is a sweetie!
ReplyDeleteOh Sweetie, I'm sending purrs your way for a whopping big appetitie!
ReplyDelete~hugs~
ReplyDeleteShe's a gorgeous girl! And sweet to boot. I hope she continues to hang in there and treasure your company!
ReplyDeletePoor baby! She's so lucky to have you taking such good care of her.
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear she's doing better. :)
ReplyDeleteWe had a 12 year old female cat (a long time ago) and she ended up with no teeth... but it didn't slow her eating down--even the dry food!!! I'm still not sure how she managed that.
ReplyDeleteSweetie, it's all over now darling girl. Be happy.
ReplyDeleteShe is such a sweetie. Please let her know The Tooth Fairy mailed her gift yesterday. Thank you for another puzzle. XO
ReplyDeleteWhat a doll. As for medicine, here we make our mom wear it! MOL!
ReplyDeletepoor baby!!!!!! She has been through a lot! Give her kisses from us please!
ReplyDeleteThat's about how many Pocket has and she makes due.
ReplyDeleteOh Sweetie, sorry abouts the toothers, and not feelin' like eatin'....I see you are one smart cookie though ~ waiting til you gets the good spot to get your foods! I do that too....and I sometimes like to get Ma to hand feed me! BOL! I am sendin' tons and tons of POTP and healin' vibes your way my pal!
ReplyDeleteKisses,
Ruby ♥
She will soon feel much better and will manage fine without those teeth. We used to have a tortie which was previously my MIL's. She didn't have a tooth in her head but if she could get hold of the bone from a leg of lamb she would gum every last morsel off it.
ReplyDeleteOne of the things we find interesting is the extent to which vets in the States seem to remove cats' teeth. It's a very rare occurrence here. We're glad Sweetie is more comfortable and enjoying her retirement!
ReplyDeletePurrs,
Tama and Genji
Awww, Sweetie. We're so sorry you had so many teeth removed. When I had my fangs removed I was given medicaiton by injection and I was high for days! MOL
ReplyDeleteSweetie...thank goodness you were smart enough to adjust to inside living so the Mom could get your to the vet for your wellness check up and now all is good. Pilling a cat is a challenge.
ReplyDeleteHugs Cecilia
Now that her mouth is feeling better maybe Sweetie will be a bit happier. We hope she likes cuddles :)
ReplyDeletePurrs,Georgia and Julie
Good to see her out again. Purrs to you all!
ReplyDeleteSounds like she's doing better! I love that she sleeps on your chest.
