Happy Birthday, Steve Martin!

Comedian, actor, author, filmmaker, banjo-playing Steve Martin was born born August 14, 1945.

For some reason, the recording ends about half-way through!

From Saturday Night Live skit: Toonces The Driving Cat
Victoria Jackson and Steve Martin
During this pandemic, with the resulting political, social, and medical strife, we MUST laugh at the silly things in life.

Steve Martin has always been a 'go-to' for me, for giggles!

Of course, cats are worth laughter every day!

Manny hooked the pad with his claw, then turned over.
He was asleep and cared not for being half-covered.
That boy will do anything to make his humans smile!

  1. We remember Toonces! The video was funny but, for some reason, cut out about half way.

    Thanks for the puzzle!

    1. Yes, I found that it went silent about half-way through, so I've just added a note for others.

  12. Let's get SMALL!

You'll probably hear from us tomorrow. Mom's got two fans on high aimed at the laptop, which is, along with the rest of us, melting in the heat!

  15. Oh my word, that Silly Manny Cat is too much! Dad has enjoyed Steve Martin's goofy humor since he first appeared early on. One of his all time faves is the Wild & Crazy guys skit from SNL with Dan Ackroyd, but there's so much more.

    1. Steve Martin is a cat lover, and he's so talented! Who knew he had so much more to give us...his adoring public...AFTER SNL and King Tut! I've read one or two of his books, and during the pandemic, he was airing banjo recitals for all. Thanks for visiting my blog!

  18. Martin's "Roxanne" is excellent, and contains my favourite sight-gag. It's hard to believe he's 75... And Toonces; he can drive, just not very well...
