In with Old, Out with New, etc...

My very old rug-hooking project returned from my sister's house,
much to Angel's delight!
OLD back IN!

Three boxes of new-to-me, but now old
(because they don't fit!) clothes,
donated to the local women's shelter

Milkweed pods from our garden.
Cannot wait for the more Monarch butterflies next year!
Seasons change, and what was old is new, what was new is old.  This was the first year that our milkweed plants grow seed pods, and I will scatter the seeds so Eastside Cats has a healthy crop next year.  I have also shared some pods with Rene at It's All About The Cats!

And for you readers who want to see photos of The PO' ya go!  An oldie but a goodie.

  1. Oh wow. the PO'M really looked like a tiger in the wild there for a moment! The rug is super cute.

  2. I always feel good when I donate and let some old things go.

I am a big fan of October. Our leaves are just starting to change colors. Love the milkweed pods!

  3. We thank you in advance for the milkweed pods. Here's hoping they grow!

  4. And I linked this post to Feline Friday because of that great shot of The PO'M.

Have a purrfect day and weekend. ♥

  5. I sure am hoping Fall didn't lose her way to NC. We might need to send her the coordinates. Hot Hot Hot today.
The Old Gray Mare is that crazy Madi called me that sometimes.
    Hugs Cecilia

  6. Nothing feels better than a roll in the leaves, or so Flynn used to tell me.

  7. Gosh...Mom took a couple of days off and she WAS going to clean out her closet...but she painted instead...I think I shall send her upstairs to do just that! Thanks for the motivation!

  8. Angel, that is one comfy looking rug Angel. Good for you to grab it. You all have perfect day.

  9. I donated a bag of clothes to Goodwill and a box of books to the local library. Feels good!

  10. He does look like a little tiger! Fall clean outs are good as we get ready for the holidays :)

  11. Angel sure likes that rug and we sure love that Paddy tum!

  12. It's not a good day without a little POM! He's just a bunch of gloriousness in a tiny furry package!

  13. Paddy, I never knew you had real Tiger stripes till now!

  14. Cute Paddy :)
We like the old rug and the milkweed pods.

  15. Love that picture of POM. I can't remember the last time I saw a milkweed pod. My friend and I used to love opening them and watching the seeds fly away.

  16. That is a great shot of POM. I want to rub that tummy. We have a lot of milkweed around and had many monarchs this year :)

  17. PO'M is so cute! That is great you can spread the milkweed pods. Thank you for donating clothes. There is always such a need in every community.

  18. Hmmm, what do you do with the milkweed pods? Dad's curious. Says where he grew up they were all around the yard. Enjoy this weekend, y'all!

  19. Paddy is so cute. I wanna rub his belly! He is goodie for sure :-)

  20. That rug looks comfy. Nothing better than a good roll in the leaves ! Purrs

  21. Im very impressed wth your milkweed Pods. I can never succeed with them and I want to help the butterflies!

  22. Okay, so we're behind and a little lost, but what's the deal with the milkweed? What did we miss? Ya' know, why do ya' want so many weeds? Cuz 'round here, it's really a weed. But, good luck with it. Big hugs

    Luv ya'

  23. We are so impressed with your milkweed pods, we wish our milkweed did better, in fact we don't think any managed to make it this year. Maybe Mommy can get some more milkweed next year or finds some seeds to scatter.

  24. I wish we had Monarch butterflies here, there's so pretty. Great photo of Paddy - not a care in the world.

  25. Yes, autumn is the time for changes, isn't it? But if the old is as colourful as the rug, the old can stay put - or come back.

Mee-row! Thanks for your comments; we LURV them! Purrr....
