In with Old, Out with New, etc...

My very old rug-hooking project returned from my sister's house,
much to Angel's delight!
OLD back IN!

Three boxes of new-to-me, but now old
(because they don't fit!) clothes,
donated to the local women's shelter
NEW/OLD back OUT!

Milkweed pods from our garden.
Cannot wait for the more Monarch butterflies next year!
NEW is NEW!
Seasons change, and what was old is new, what was new is old.  This was the first year that our milkweed plants grow seed pods, and I will scatter the seeds so Eastside Cats has a healthy crop next year.  I have also shared some pods with Rene at It's All About The Cats!

And for you readers who want to see photos of The PO'M...here ya go!  An oldie but a goodie.

Paddy O'Malley
showing off all of his fine features...
green eyes
fangs
goofy expression
raccoon tail
plumb midsection
waving 'em in the air like he just don't care!

  15. Love that picture of POM. I can't remember the last time I saw a milkweed pod. My friend and I used to love opening them and watching the seeds fly away.

  22. Okay, so we're behind and a little lost, but what's the deal with the milkweed? What did we miss? Ya' know, why do ya' want so many weeds? Cuz 'round here, it's really a weed. But, good luck with it. Big hugs

    Luv ya'

  23. We are so impressed with your milkweed pods, we wish our milkweed did better, in fact we don't think any managed to make it this year. Maybe Mommy can get some more milkweed next year or finds some seeds to scatter.

  25. Yes, autumn is the time for changes, isn't it? But if the old is as colourful as the rug, the old can stay put - or come back.
