A Chance Encounter

Friday morning, I was at the optometrist.  To my wondering eyes, a gorgeous dog peeked 'round the corner, and I sank to my knees to pet this wonderful baby.  You should have heard his tail thumping the floor!

Interestingly, the employees were a bit shaken by our (dog and me) interaction, since the woofie is never supposed to encounter patients.  They offered lint rollers for the fur, and were bowled over when I snapped a photo!  I assured them that, 1) I wasn't reporting anyone to anyone, 2) I am already covered in cat hair, so a few dog hairs ain't no big thang, and 3) who would turn down a change to rub that big noggin, and pet that glorious tummy?!?

I forgot the woofie's name!  Darn!

Just because I was wearing a cat scarf, cat earrings, and a cat pin...doesn't mean that I don't adore woofies too!
The computer screen on my pin reads, "Mouse Error"
My 'old' glasses

Maybe my 'new' eyeglasses? Cat-eyes!

I really liked this pair.  They are ordering them in a smaller size, since I looked like Elton John in the set that they had!
Rockin' the glasses, Elton!

  11. Our condolences on the loss of Angel Oreo. He sounds like a very special cat who was well loved.

Mommy loves petting Miss Dolly when she takes us to the vet. Honestly she does it right in FRONT of us too. Miss Dolly is the office dog, but they also have office cats.

  12. Oh, he's so sweet!
I've been afraid of dogs since I can remember, but recently I realized that not every dog is dangerous. And sometimes I'm petting some dog. It's very often that some dog is coming to me while I'm sitting in the coffee shop etc. I never initialize the contact, but if the dog starts tu punch me, I'll try to pet him :)

  16. Mom used to have woofies, and after she got married at the ripe old age of 17...her new hubby was a cat man. So it's been cats ever since. Even though he is gone. :-)

  17. I am 100% with you...I am always ready for little 4 legged loving...no matter where. When I'm out mostly it is dogs I encounter. I think I send off an
"I'm a sucker, come up to me and I will love you" vibe. They all come up to me. A year ago early spring, I was walking around an outdoor mall. I saw the most GORGEOUS Great Dane in the distance, it was huge, and as it approached it became gigantic. It was a puppy about 9 months old. They were just getting it out and about for socializing and preparing her to be a therapy dog. I stopped as it walked up, I asked if I could pet it. The lady said she is a puppy she is just meeting folks. That precious Dane walked up to me slowly.
Her head was at my waist. She nuzzled my hand to her head and OMDs did we have a love fest. The lady said you might want to brace yourself, she (the Dane) is a leaner. Evidently that is a common thing with Danes. Yep he more I petted the more she leaned and oh my what an experience. Then some children approached. Do you know what she did? She laid down so as to be at their level, without being told to do so. I know in my heart this Dane if a wonderful therapy dog.

Oh my I had not thought about this in a while. YEP I forgot to get her name too.
My glasses are very similar to yours with a tinge more red in them.
    Hugs Cecilia
