Thankful Thursday

My dear friend BG gifted me a bag full of wonderful things, including her hand-stitched "I Love My Cats" pillow, a cute cat pin with tales, and a beautiful book mark (and a book to go with it!)

Having nearby friends is wonderful, and also being a part of the cat blogging community with friends spread far and wide is heartwarming as well.

Thank you all for being a part of Eastside Cats!

A Chance Encounter

Friday morning, I was at the optometrist.  To my wondering eyes, a gorgeous dog peeked 'round the corner, and I sank to my knees to pet this wonderful baby.  You should have heard his tail thumping the floor!

Interestingly, the employees were a bit shaken by our (dog and me) interaction, since the woofie is never supposed to encounter patients.  They offered lint rollers for the fur, and were bowled over when I snapped a photo!  I assured them that, 1) I wasn't reporting anyone to anyone, 2) I am already covered in cat hair, so a few dog hairs ain't no big thang, and 3) who would turn down a change to rub that big noggin, and pet that glorious tummy?!?

I forgot the woofie's name!  Darn!

Just because I was wearing a cat scarf, cat earrings, and a cat pin...doesn't mean that I don't adore woofies too!
The computer screen on my pin reads, "Mouse Error"
My 'old' glasses

Maybe my 'new' eyeglasses? Cat-eyes!

I really liked this pair.  They are ordering them in a smaller size, since I looked like Elton John in the set that they had!
Rockin' the glasses, Elton!

Can you just imagine a photo of Manny and Chili Bruce, each playing with a black cat toy?

I am very fortunate to have friends and family who showered me with birthday gifts last month!  And this doesn't include the excellent meals, trips to movies and shopping, and many other adventures that happened before, during and after my vacation.  Thank you all!  ☺👌😺💖

Picture 5 is a piece of cloth covered in photos of lions, tigers, birds and foxes, from Big Cat Rescue in Tampa, Florida, that go along with the tiger-striped socks.  Don't know what it's for?  It's for wiping one's eyeglasses!  Yeah, I had to be told too.  Thank you, BG!

Gifts

I love this beautiful pin!  On the back, is stamped "Mariah" and Laural Burch.  It was a gift from some really cool family members, whom I do NOT see often enough.  This pin perfectly matches my eyeglasses, so I'll be wearing it often.  Thanks again, P&C!

Now, here are two gifts that I gave myself: a pajama set (super WARM!) and a pretty t-shirty top to wear to the office.  Can you tell which one is which?  No?  The Hubby noticed this apparent reproduction of patterns yesterday, as I ate breakfast in the jammies, then dressed for work.  He did a double-take, feeling certain that I was still in my sleepwear!  What can I say...I like this kind of pattern.
