Booky

Our friend Dai$y from earned her angel wings.

Please leave words of comfort at Trout Talkin' Tabbies.
😿

2 March is Read Across America Day; open a book and READ!
Let's Hop!

1. My favorite place to read is while sitting in the library.

The quietude is just the best place to gobble up books.

2. My favorite genre to read is British mystery, especially police procedurals.

Especially enjoy the audiobooks, narrated by delightful folks with lovely accents.

3. "The Beekeeper's Apprentice" is a book I could read over and over again.

What can I say?  I'm a Sherlockian, as The Great Detective enjoyed his retirement.

4. The book series "Dresden Files" inspired me to let my book-loving geek flag fly by joining FB groups with others who feel the same.

Am now a member of many author and book groups; it's so much fun to yammer away about our newly found favorite book, or genre, or anything Outlander, Rebecca Yarros, Tana French, Anthony Horowitz, etc.

Sweetie's Solensia shot vet visit showed that she's lost a tiny bit of weight.

We'll work hard to get her to eat up, and those shots are a huge help to her.

Thankful Thursday

We are so very thankful for a few cat gifts!

My sister gifted us this adorable plate...thank you!
It will join my 'blue cats' collection near the front door.
If you don't visit Four-Legged Furballs Blog, then you are missing out!
Lorianne and her furry crew are incredibly entertaining, and daily feature a doodle or two.
Awhile ago, I boldly asked for a custom doodle, and look what arrived...along with cat toys and adorable cat lady items too!

It's an Eastside Cats Doodle!

Looky, looky!  Isn't this adorable?

Sweetie and The PO'M!

Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU!
Oh, how lucky we are to have friends who think about us!

What are you thankful for today?

Let's Hop!

Toy Synchronization

We received wonderful gifts from Four-Legged Furballs in October, including two black catface silvervine cat toys, which I posted about in Halloween Prezzies.

Well, funny thing.  Manny and Chili Bruce tend to play with these two toys in tandem, so we find them all over the place...together!  Kinda cute, when we think about twin black cats, playing with twin black catface toys!

Need I mention that Da Boyz are simply the cutest, most adorable cats EVER?  💕

Thank you, Four-Legged Furballs!
A Halloween tote, a HUGE package of Temptations treats, two packets of cat-nip toys, and some candy that didn't make it to the photo shoot...hahaha!

Can you just imagine a photo of Manny and Chili Bruce, each playing with a black cat toy?

Friday Friendly Fill-Ins

Friendly Fill-Ins

1. & 2. are from 15 and Meowing, and 3. & 4. from Four-Legged Furballs.

1. My neighbors _________.
2. The last thing I purchased online was _________.
3. I have never _________.
4. Anything is possible if _________.

My answers:

1. My neighbors are pleasant people, who are okay with The PO'M and Sweetie hanging around our yard AND theirs.

2. The last thing that I purchased online was a City The Kitty Against Declawing t-shirt.

3. I have never shied away from speaking my mind regarding the abolishment of legal declawing.  I talk to people on the street, in line at the grocery store, to friends of friends, and just about anyone.  Do I make people mad?  I try not to, but I suppose that I do.  Do I care?  Nope.

4. Anything is possible if you can envision it, and work hard to make it happen.

***

And now for some gratuitous neighborhood kitty photos!  This is Sly, who lives about a 15 minute walk from Eastside Cats.  When I call to him, he comes a'running, and I really enjoy that!  His humans take terrific care of Sly and his brofur Sneakers, and I just love these two kitties to bits!  However, I am glad that I'm not the one brushing all of that stuff out of Sly's long fur...
Ain't he gorgeous?

Supawstars Spotlight Award, From Pets Overload

Johnny from Pets Overload awarded Eastside Cats a Supawstars Spotlight Award for February 2018!  We are humbled by such generosity, and appreciate the positive feedback for our blog.

Here are the rules:

  • You are to choose 5 pet bloggers and link to their blogs and describe why each of them deserves this award
  • You must encourage the pet bloggers you shout out to shout out 5 bloggers themselves
  • You must leave a comment on each other blogs letting them know that you’ve given them the spotlight

If you look over at the right-hand side of this blog, you'll see a list of bloggers that I enjoy!  Every one deserves an award.  In the interest of following rules, however, here are five:

***

The Island Cats:  Zoey, Wally, and Ernie make me smile every day, and the woman with the yellow hair who is their catsecretary is crazy-pants in love with each of them!

Wandering Cat Studio: A wonderful blend of knitting, quilting, and cats!  So imaginative, and artistic.

Four Legged Furballs: Just the doodles alone are adorable, but three kitties and one goggie have wonderful stories to tell!

A Proper Bostonian: Floofy cats galore, and an interesting outlook on life, love, beauty...and Boston!  Not to mention tea, brewing tea, and purchasing the correct tea kettle.

I Have Three Cats: Observations on living with cats, written with quiet humor, that usually leave me pondering the human/feline relationship, and learning new things with every post!

***

Off I go to comment on each of these blogs, and I encourage everyone to read them, for you will find enjoyment as much as I have.

Thanks again to Pets Overload, who I would like to nominate right back, as a wonderfully funny, loving, and personal blog that reflects how living with cats is one of the best things about life!
