Mmm, the NEA sort of waved bye-bye to Dr Seuss a few years ago ~ tho it's still his birthday today. But YES, so many reasons to celebrate hundreds of other amazing authors, especially authors for young readers (STOP RE-WRITING THEM PLEASE) ... encouraging the joy of reading. One of our favorites: Shel Silverstein.
