  2. One of our neighbors has some beehives, and years ago there was a wild hive inside one of our trees in the back part of our yard.
Bees are such interesting creatures. And so necessary!

  4. These bees are wonderful and yes, important, but my dad says other things about some bees he has to contend with where we live. He mows lots and lots of grass around here, and he says the yellow jackets in the ground are relentless and has gotten attacked by them many times.

    1. Yikes, Smudge, that's scary. Yellow-jackets are vicious when in attack mode.

  6. Extraordinary and valuable to us all, wise to leave them "be" and they will not bother us. Great contributors to Mother Earth.

  13. I hand painted a sign to inform folks that hovering ground bees might look formidable but are harmless pollinators. Seeing deadly jar traps upset me. So, I'm trying... Anyway, 'bee' well. Heh...
