Celebrate Shelter Pets Day is held on the Thursday after Thanksgiving.
This year, it's December 5.

Am so very thankful for all of the big-hearted people who rescue, foster, and manage animal shelters and rescues; you are doing great work!

I'm grateful for all the shelters that take in cats, but just sad that they have to be outside or mistreated to start with. The people kind enough to have a foster home for cats and also dogs are wonderful big-hearted people.
