Clean Power

April 22 is World Earth Day
"Earthday.org’s founders created and organized the very first Earth Day on April 22, 1970.

Since then, Earth Day Network also known as EARTHDAY.ORG has been mobilizing over 1 billion people annually on Earth Day, and every other day, to protect the planet.

Earth Day’s 2025 theme is OUR POWER, OUR PLANET, calling for everyone to unite around renewable energy so we can triple clean electricity by 2030."

  1. A wonderful reminder about a wonderful day, indeed. Not to be all Negative Nancy, but how long d'ya think before Earth Day celebrants get snatched up and deported?

    1. We can only hope we are still under the radar, too small for WashDC to bother with.

  3. I'm actually having a hard time believing that it's Earth day. Only because winter drug on so long that I can't believe it's just now starting to warm up as late as fantastic Earth Day.

  5. I LOVE Earth Day! I remember as a kid my Mom was really into that kind of thing and we had to drive across the city to the only recycle centre (some of her friends had been instrumental in setting it up). I am very happy that where I live is progressive about recycling, composting etc. I just wish that visitors to our remote area did not throw their garbage out and leave the stinking mess in the forest, beside the lakes and everywhere else! Since Covid, the messes left behind are horrific.
    Keep being awesome!

  7. We really do need to care for our planet much better than we do. Every day should be Earth Day.
