4/26 is Independent Bookstore Day!
Independent bookstores that I love:
The Tattered Cover Book Store, several locations in Colorado
The Book Beat, Oak Park, Michigan
Mayflower Bookshop, Berkley, Michigan
John K. King Used and Rare Books, two locations in Metro Detroit, Michigan
Curious Books, East Lansing, Michigan
Paperback Writer Books, Mount Clemens, Michigan
Dark Star Bookstore, Yellow Springs, Ohio
Loganberry Books, Cleveland, Ohio
Mulberry Street Books, Lebanon, Ohio
Appletree Books, Cleveland Heights, Ohio
For today's Caturday, I used Prisma to artify an image of a kitten on a book found somewhere in social medialand.
Unfortunately I don't know of any independent book shops in Plymouth. If I was more mobile I could probably find one somewhere tucked away in a back street. There is a very good one in Tavistock, a market town about 15 miles away, so I go there.
ReplyDeleteLove the artsy effect!
We are a very small County in a very rural area but we are fortunate that we still have an independent bookstore downtown. And they make great choices and what they offer.
ReplyDeleteThank you! I now have an excellent reason to buy more books today...or next week/month!
ReplyDeleteThat's a lovely kitten and art!
ReplyDeleteWe have so few small bookstores here these days and sadly another one just closed.
ReplyDeleteWe don't have very many small, independent bookstores here. It's really sad.
ReplyDeleteYellow Springs is a beautiful drive from my home, so thank you for sharing. Hugs, my dear.
ReplyDeleteI love bookstores. Sadly, I have none close by. XO
ReplyDeleteThat's a beautiful photo. I love any bookstore!
ReplyDeleteA used bookstore is my favourite: strays and abandoned books, looking to be rescued.
ReplyDeleteThat's a cool artwork.
ReplyDeleteWe lost our independent bookstore here and it's very sad.
