Another Thing

So, I did another thing...
This is the artwork that my tattoo guy used on Tuesday.

Will take clear pics to share, after the wrapping comes off and some healing happens.

My Swee Wee, in her tiara and reclining upon an open book.

Before my appointment, I enjoyed a walk through my favorite natural landscape, Tenhave Woods, in Royal Oak, Michigan, and snapped a few pretty things:

Trillium
Am pretty sure these will be white, but they could be red.

Bloodroot
The red sap is used as a dye.
Trout Lily
The speckled leaf pattern reminded someone of a fish!

Also met a fellow nature-lover, who was watching for birds.

She pointed out a hawk not far above our heads.

We compared tattoos, our love of libraries, and had a delightful few moments of chat.
😺😸😺

P.S. It's The Hubby's Birthday today, but he doesn't want to hear the 'b' word!

It's lucky that he doesn't read this blog.

Happy Birthday, dearest, and may you celebrate many more.

A Big Number

The Hubby had a significant birthday yesterday.

Not one for a fuss, he spent the day quietly, enjoying the ultra warm temps, and hanging with Manny, Chili Bruce, and Sweetie.
This video was taken in April, 2021.
Celestial Paddy O'Malley knew to love on all humans at Eastside Cats!

So very thankful for The Hubby, who calls himself a crazy cat man.

Two Heads

It's Twozday!

Manny and Chili Bruce often put their noggins together; no doubt plotting something nefarious while they sleep!
Wishing The Hubby a Happy Birthday today; he claims that he was my first rescue.
🎂🎈🎁💞
And many more!

Happy Birthday, The Hubby!****no one noticed that I misspelled 'happy' as 'harpy'!

Yep, it's a really big Birthday for The Hubby, but he didn't want any gifts.  So what was I supposed to do?

New cat nail clippers

Deciding that something cat-related would be good, I bought a new pair of nail clippers.  Now we can leave one pair upstairs for Angel, and the other stays downstairs for Manny and Chili Bruce.

So cute!

And I purchased these cute catnip-filled hearts too; pink for Angel, blue and green for Da Boyz.

Also visited the doc today; he was pleased with my progress, and they gave me a splint that I can remove to flex my hand a little.  Not too much, he said, 'cause he doesn't want the wires to move around too much.  If you aren't squeamish, here's this morning's xray:

Eeeekkk!
My Thankful Thursday's cup runneth over: I am so very lucky to have The Hubby as my friend, my live-in stand-up-comedian, and he's looking terrific on this warmish Spring day.  Also very thankful for Dr. Kirk Cleland at St Clair Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine, PC, for putting my hand back together again!

Let's Hop!

Happy Birthday to The Cat Daddy-Mama!

Happy Birthday to The Hubby!
As you can see from this baby photo, The Hubby loved cats while still in nappies!

He called that stuffed leopard, "Tygee"
The curtains have Peter Pan characters on them!
Patty O'Malley sends his own birthday greetings from the front porch.

"C'mon, feed us already!"
What can I say about The Hubby that you don't already know?  He's kind, dedicated, thoughtful, comedic, passionate, while being laid-back and creative.  When he's mad, you will know it!  Yet he sits with Angel and pets her until she coos, and Chuck now walks up to him when it's pilling time.  The Hubby hates a fuss for his birthday, however I won tickets for today's Detroit Tiger's game in Detroit, from Monday's work raffle.  So I am leaving the office to spend the afternoon with him at the ballpark.  We'll have dinner out at our favorite restaurant, Pita Cafe in Oak Park, (the wait staff KNOWS our order!), then get home in time for whatever NBA basketball game is on.
