HB Chuck & Angel!

July 18, 2004 was the birthday of Celestial Chuck and Angel!

Their mama had four kittens; we adopted two.

I've called them twins, which isn't exact, but what the hey, right?

For Caturday, we've artified one of our favorite images of Chuck and Angel in Lunapic, K3 art effect.

Click on the image to enjoy a jigsaw puzzle.

My tattoo!

❤️Happy Heavenly Birthday Angel and Chuck, and we miss you.❤️

Footloose

T. G. I. F!

But what do I care?

Every day is vacation for a retiree!

Some found-on-the-interwebs sillies to express my feelings:

The card I sent my Bro-in-law when he retired last week.

Thank you for the kind words for my niece on yesterday's post.

Newest Ink

Today, I am thankful that I can express myself with body art.
Chuck and Angel, wrestling as kittens, in December 2024.
Book reading dragon, with a cat on it's head, last week.
Brandon at Studio Seven Tattoos really gets my vibe, and I am so very glad to have found him.

Seriously, I was at the UPS Store in the same strip mall, and while waiting for traffic to clear enough to get to The Cat Car, I saw the 'tattoo' sign, and I walked right in.

The woman at the desk and I hit it off like we were old friends: cat lovers, book lovers, and live in the same city.

Once I'd described my intentions, she recommended Brandon, and the rest, as they say, is history.

*whispers: don't tell him that I'm the same age as his MOM!*

Two Years

It's PO'Monday!

Guess what?

It's been two years since my Paddy O'Malley tattoo.
Yes, it's unconventional and silly, and so was he.

Seeing Himself often, as artwork on my body, has helped ease the grief that I'd felt since losing him in such a surprising way.

He was my ❤️ cat.

Since the above, I've been inked with Da Boyz and Sweetie, as well as a crescent moon holding a cat, a homage to the Solar Eclipse from April, 2024, and a sparkling star.

Next on my hit list:

Angel and Chuck
Won't show a pic of the new tat; will reveal when it's properly unwrapped and healed.

When the artist stepped away and turned off his tattoo pen, I looked at my Celestial Babies, and whispered, "Oh, it's so good to see you two again!"

My Sweetie Ink

It's Sweetnesday!

It's not easy recording something that is not flat, so please ignore the amateurish video above.

Sweetie, wearing her tiara and reclining upon an open book, with garden flowers behind; lily-of-the-valley, lilac, Virginia bluebells, and wood poppy...with a bee.

These flowers were in the yard when she was an 'O' cat, and the tiara and book represent her indoor retirement life.

And this photo is the inspiration for my next tat.

At Home

It's Sweetnesday, and Queen Sweet the First has come home.
Thank you to Ellen for the purrfect art to go with.
❤️
17 July is National Tattoo Day, and it just so happens that I have an appointment to have my Celestial Sweetie tattoo brightened with a ring of flowers.

I've chosen blooms that she lived with when an 'O' Cat.

Pics to be presented in the future, but let's have a moment of fun for this particular holiday:

Another Thing

So, I did another thing...
This is the artwork that my tattoo guy used on Tuesday.

Will take clear pics to share, after the wrapping comes off and some healing happens.

My Swee Wee, in her tiara and reclining upon an open book.

Before my appointment, I enjoyed a walk through my favorite natural landscape, Tenhave Woods, in Royal Oak, Michigan, and snapped a few pretty things:

Trillium
Am pretty sure these will be white, but they could be red.

Bloodroot
The red sap is used as a dye.
Trout Lily
The speckled leaf pattern reminded someone of a fish!

Also met a fellow nature-lover, who was watching for birds.

She pointed out a hawk not far above our heads.

We compared tattoos, our love of libraries, and had a delightful few moments of chat.
😺😸😺

P.S. It's The Hubby's Birthday today, but he doesn't want to hear the 'b' word!

It's lucky that he doesn't read this blog.

Happy Birthday, dearest, and may you celebrate many more.

New Ink

It's Twozday!

Um...look what I did...
On my left arm, as Tatty O'Malley is on the right.
The original image:
CB is left, Manny right.

Found a terrific artist; have plans for other ink, plus updates to my oldest tats.
Am thinking that ceiling spider isn't long for this world...
with two housepanthers locked and loaded!

I Did A Thing

The First Day of Spring!

And, for my birthday today, I'd like to reveal my new ink:
As Tat'O looks today.
Design
Done, in December 2022.
My friends, I mourn for Paddy O'Malley in ways I'd never thought of.

Some will consider this tattoo rather bizarre, yet it soothes my soul.

On the first anniversary of his death, an idea began to formulate: I'd be able to see his goofiness if I had a permanent image of him.

Pondering for months, I then researched tattoo parlors, tattoo artists, and gathered my favorite PO'M images.

I threw my trust into The Universe, and stepped forward.

You may wonder why I dislike Winter, but it's really that, like a child, I cannot wait for my birthday, usually in the First Day of Spring.

Happy Spring everyone, and Happy Birthday to others who have 20 March as their natal day, such as Brian's mum at Brian's Home.

And this Tat'O was my present to me, although Paddy O'Malley was the true gift in my life.

Fangs A Lot

Finally figured out how to add replies to comments on Blogger.

Please excuse my previous inability to respond to your lovely remarks.

***

It's PO'Monday!

Let's get fangy.

These images were snapped on July 3, 2015.

Celestial Paddy O'Malley was just being cute, Cute, CUTE!

What I wouldn't give to have his round body to hold again.

Think I'll get a tattoo of him, using the top photo.

Two-zday on Wed-nzday

On my right forearm
Resembles Manny, showing off his starfish...

Left forearm
Chili Bruce is always elegant
I scored two temporary tats over the weekend!
I still have them today; hope that they will last until the weekend, when I can surprise some family members...
*wicked evil laugh*
