It's the Vernal Equinox!

It's also my birthday, and we also celebrate Celestial Paddy O'Malley on this day.

Am beyond thankful for another trip around the sun, and for having my P'OM experience.

He changed my life.

LAST DAY!

The Vernal Equinox occurs at 5:01 am EDT, 9:01 am GMT, 2:01 am PDT

IT'S THE LAST DAY OF WINTER!!!!
Why yes, yes I do!
Has an Ides of March vibe.
Wakie wakie wakie!
It's HERE...
SPRING!
Now, this isn't our first rodeo...we know that Old Man Winter fights back, and there may still be cold temperatures, storms, and maybe even some...*shudder*...snow.

But we can now face these trials with a 'fiddle-dee-dee' attitude, as they just won't last much longer.

Well, at least, this is how I manage to get through until I can finally put my puffer coat into the closet for six to eight months.

Cusp

It's Sweetnesday!

Our Swee Wee isn't chowing down her chow, so I've been carrying her food bowl to her to tempt her into taking a few licks.

This works, but a Churu works even better!

I was successful with one pilling (appetite stimulant), and utter failure at the second.

Me: 1
Sweetie: 1
We visit the vet on Monday for Solensia, and I'll powwow with the experts.

Another trip around the Sun, and it's my birthday today.

Also, wishing Happy Birthday to Brian's Home Blog catmom.

I've only met a handful of folks who share my birthday, and it usually occurs on the First Day of Spring.

Had my horoscope professionally cast years ago, where I was diagnosed as a Pisces, but being born on the cusp of Aries means I really am combo of both.

Pisces: water sign + Aries: fire sign

Me: steam! 😹
I always take a day off from work for my birthday on principle, but the weather can be dicey.

That being said, below is my favorite image the tells it like it is:
Have a good day, y'all!

Nap

"Today, the day after “springing forward” an hour for daylight saving time, has been set aside as National Napping Day.

The day was first established in 1999 by the Boston University professor William Anthony and his wife, Camille, who hoped to bring awareness to the health benefits of napping and the importance of sleep.

This also coincides with March being designated as National Sleep Awareness Month, and pairs with World Sleep Day on the Friday before the March Equinox."

I Did A Thing

The First Day of Spring!

And, for my birthday today, I'd like to reveal my new ink:
As Tat'O looks today.
Design
Done, in December 2022.
My friends, I mourn for Paddy O'Malley in ways I'd never thought of.

Some will consider this tattoo rather bizarre, yet it soothes my soul.

On the first anniversary of his death, an idea began to formulate: I'd be able to see his goofiness if I had a permanent image of him.

Pondering for months, I then researched tattoo parlors, tattoo artists, and gathered my favorite PO'M images.

I threw my trust into The Universe, and stepped forward.

You may wonder why I dislike Winter, but it's really that, like a child, I cannot wait for my birthday, usually in the First Day of Spring.

Happy Spring everyone, and Happy Birthday to others who have 20 March as their natal day, such as Brian's mum at Brian's Home.

And this Tat'O was my present to me, although Paddy O'Malley was the true gift in my life.

Welcome Spring!

Spring Equinox 2020 in Northern Hemisphere will be at 11:49 PM (Eastern) on
Thursday, March 19.

As each one of us deals with the current situation, let's rejoice that we are moving into a new season!

Anyone have an ancient stone monolith setup, that we can dance around?!?

A segment of ancient Avebury stones, from my visit in 2018

I am so very fortunate to have friends who

with a birthday party!

Thank you all!

From Sue D. at The Island Cats!
Handmade greeting cards,

Cat planter, from TG!
Glass sleeping cat, from BG!
And those St. Patrick's day socks from ML, as shown on Tuesday.

BG was the culprit; she planned everything, and I had no idea!

Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Vernal Equinox

Snow Drops
Snow Mold
Snow Patty Cat
You know what's great about having a birthday on March 20?  It's the vernal equinox, or the First Day of Spring*!  Although the cold is not completely gone, at least we know it's not going to hang around too much longer.  I ALWAYS take the day off from work.  One year, there was a blizzard that dropped a ton of snow.  I've already mentioned that three years ago, it almost hit 70 degrees, and I used the day to take trapped Patty to All About Animals for shots and neuter.  You just never know what kind of weather will show up!  Today reached the mid-fifties, and the sun came out in the afternoon.

I snapped a few photos of the things I found in the yard, while the sun shined:  cute little Snow Drop flowers, something called Snow Mold, which I've read grows when a significant snowfall occurs before the ground is frozen (it's harmless, and there is not a whole lot to do about it anyhow), and of course, Patty O'Malley will do anything to get my attention.  I slept in (yay!), got a manicure, and went to lunch with the hubby.  Not bad, for someone of my advanced age...ha ha ha!  Plus, the Michigan State Men's Basketball team won today; I'm a big Sparty fan. Go Green!  (Uh, sorry to my nephews who attend Ohio State, University of Michigan, and Northwestern...your old auntie has been an MSU fan since forever!  One niece is at MSU...yay!)

*About every four years, my birthday falls on the LAST day of Winter - a bummer when it happens!  And I cannot say I've ever seen Snow Mold before, although I've lived in Michigan my whole life.  But I looked it up on the internet, because it looks like spider webs...<shiver>
