Angel, ready for a snooze |
And...
You can see why I wore these socks to death! So cute! |
Years ago, a friend gifted me with these fabulous cat socks.
I've worn them countless times, and they now have holes in the soles.
I may be an excellent sock darner (I really am!), however these are past it, I'm afraid.
Think I'll cut off the ankle part, and create some sort of cat toy from them.
Farewell, cat socks; you've served me well!
Hole at the toe, and both socks have them |

You could stitch a pair of trainer socks into the inside of them to save them a little!
ReplyDeleteGreat idea! Almost all of my mom's socks are kitty socks.
ReplyDeleteYes, someone needs a snoozy and someone needs new socks!
ReplyDeleteI also had a pair of cat socks that I wore until they had holes - they were my favorite and unfortunately I never though of making something with them. Your idea of making a cat toy is great!
ReplyDeleteOh, those will make a great cat toy. Good use for worn out socks. Have a great day.
ReplyDeleteThat kitty has something to say. Cute.
ReplyDeleteI love those socks. Can you replace them? I'm sure you can.
Have a purrfect Wordless Wednesday. ♥
I see those socks are fully enjoyed by you :-) It's a great idea to make cat toy from them!
ReplyDeleteSo many cute cat socks available...buy some more! Making cat toys out of these is a wonderful idea.
ReplyDeleteWhat a bummer. I like the idea of making a cat toy from them, maybe a kicker toy?
ReplyDeleteAngel looks like you have stated your opinion and are firm on your beliefs.
ReplyDeleteI really hate it when a favorite pair of socks gets to this stage.
I cannot darn socks worth two cents but you are right these are darn past darning. Hugs Cecilia
How wonderful that you got so much wear out of them. Sock kitty toys....there's a great recycle. I think I would tie them in a knot and marinate them in cat nip for a day. Then, it would be all up to the cats here to bat , chase and carry them around!
ReplyDeleteIt is a big day today. We are going to the shelter to pick up Zachs kitten soon. Hope he's ok for the car ride. I feel like Zach and this guy are a great match. Kittens are such fun and he needs good fun for all the work he's doing right now teaching1
Nothing like a good pair of cat socks! Or 10 pairs....
ReplyDeletePurrs,
The Chans
Cute socks! We like the idea of you repurposing them in some way.
ReplyDeleteThose socks look very well loved!
ReplyDeletewhen it's a treasured article and you love it...it is so hard to have to bid it goodbye. I hope you are able to salvage some.
ReplyDeleteA cat toy would bring those socks an amazing second life!
ReplyDeleteThey are cute and so is Angel. You could cute the foot part off and make a cup cozy. I did that with some Grinch socks I had.
ReplyDeleteThey were well loved, we can see.
ReplyDeleteIt's so hard to part with such cute cat things. But at least you can recycle them as a toy.
ReplyDeleteYour beloved socks will have a new life as a cat toy, that's great ! Purrs
ReplyDeleteThat's a great idea! We can't wait to see the toy.
ReplyDeletethat's certainly one appreciated gift!
ReplyDeleteMommy has some holey socks too. She just wears them over another pair that has holes on the opposite sides. MOL But a cat toy's a great idea. We can't wait to see what you create. Big hugs
ReplyDeleteLuv ya'
Dezi and Raena
My socks are heading in that direction. Time to buy more, with or without cats...
ReplyDeleteOh what a pity :( It can be a good idea to make something new from them - it's like giving them second life :)
