Thankful Thursday: Job

The Hubby's drawing, no telling if it's Manny or Chili!
Today, I am very thankful for being gainfully employed.  Yesterday, and throughout the rest of this week, my company is cutting headcount.  I still have my position, but others who've worked at our campus do not any more, and it is a weird feeling.  The office is very subdued today.

Thought I'd include The Hubby's doodle-drawing thing to give us all a chuckle; I hoard his wee drawings, because to me, they are snippets of his deep love for our cats.  He draws on sticky-note paper.

I too am glad you have your job. I'm so sorry to hear about those losing their livelihood.

  3. I am so happy you still have your job. At the same time, my heart goes out to those who no longer do. Your husband's doodle sure did bring about smiles, though!

  5. My sympathies. They laid off my only office co-worker in June. I'm grateful to be employed too, but heartbroken for her.

  6. Things are kinda scary out there in the corporate world. At the mom's former workplace, they're looking to cut heads too.

  7. It's never fun to go through a downsize--when that happened to our mom, she called those left (including her) "The Working Dead." It was a much different situation from yours, though. Hopefully the new normal will be OK for all.

    We love the doodle-y cat!
