Nature

Summertime in our now catless yard:
Wild Geranium
Cinnamon Fern
Mushrooms
Brown-eyed Susan
Swamp Milkweed
The Hubby and I are hedging our bets by leaving The Cat Hotel and feeding station in place, until we see how things progress with Paddy O'Malley.

Interesting to note how often I look outside to get eyes on The PO'M, but he's not there!

Inside, he sits in my lap and allows our usual lovefests, yet he'll dart into hiding as the merest provocation.

We will take things one step at a time.

  1. The feral to inside cat transition is going to be a long one. It's all strange and new to him. Your love will see him through this.

  2. We think you'll get Paddy though this too and we're really happy he is giving it a go.

  3. I think you have a new inside kitty. He just needs to get used to everything.

    Summer plants are so beautiful.

Have a fabulous day and weekend. Scritches all around. ♥

  5. We have had so many mushrooms this year. The milkweed will attract some monarchs. :)

  6. Lovely foliage and flowers. Hopefully Paddy O' will settle back into his routine and be ready for his major dental procedure. Bad teeth must hurt.

  8. Really nice flowers :)
With all the love and scritches he will be getting, I think Paddy will adjust to indoor living ;)

  9. OH My Cod! Mom was so excited about POM that she went back and read all your emails! What exciting news! Too bad about his teeths though. We hope he takes to becoming an indoor, the same way that Mom's Tiger did.

  10. That's funny... I was puttering around my new yard today, and I kept looking for Relic! (He's happily up in bed - though he has explored the catio once already)

  13. It will take time with Paddy but that he is ready for love shows he is adapting if slowly. Great mushrooms what a Black Eyed Susan!

  14. Oh, Paddy Waddy, do get used to your new in-house living and be safer! Do you eat those funghi? And if so, what is the genus and species?

  15. If Paddy wants your attention, I suspect he will adapt to the inside life very well.

  16. Paddy seems well on his way to being inside. He already has a lot of trust in you...but of course he's still on his guard.

  17. It sounds like he's doing well inside so far. I hope that continues!
