In honour of the passing of Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II, I've dug out a few pictures of those other famous Brits:
The Beatles...with cats!
George |
Paul |
Ringo |
For folks who fought two wars to get rid of British rule, Americans are fascinated by the Royal Family.
During some of our country's recent upheavals, there was a social media joke circulating that we need to ask Her Majesty to take us back!
😿😿😿😿
Rest in peace, ma'am. |

Yesterday was a sad day!
ReplyDeleteQueen Elizabeth was a remarkable woman and she will be missed.

I have a good friend who is absolutely in love with everything British and is fascinated with the royal family. What a sad day it was yesterday.
ReplyDeleteno kidding, yesserday wuz a sad day
ReplyDeleteMay she rest in peace.
ReplyDeleteHave a fabulous day and weekend. Scritches to the kitties. ♥
The Queen had a great sense of humour, so she would probably love this. As far as the Fab Four, now I think they are even more fabulous because they favour felines.
ReplyDeleteA very sad day that we knew was inevitable, but she seemed indestructible.
ReplyDeleteI very much enjoyed the photos. Do you know if there are also photos of the Beatles with dogs?
ReplyDeleteI have a very very tender spot for Her Majesty. I am so sorry she has gone.
ReplyDeleteWe enjoyed the Memes, The Queen was very special, the world will miss her.
ReplyDeleteSad news about the Queen, but what a long life she led.
ReplyDeleteI am pretty sure a cat wrote Come Together
ReplyDeleteThe Beatles with their cats, how cool is that! I will miss the Queen, esp since I am a Canadian...
ReplyDeleteIt is a great loss for the whole world.
I too mourn her loss with tears, even though 96 is a great age, and 70 years on the throne is unprecedented.
When I was 17 or 28, she came to our town. I was standing very close to where she walked, and her grace, poise and beauty impressed me even then. I almost could have reached out and touched her…but I restrained my teenage self! LOL! I will carry that memory with me forever.
The new King has big shoes to fill…God Save The King!
Her Majesty's death is a great loss to her country, the Commonwealth and the world.
ReplyDeleteI like to think she has reunited with her Prince. :D
ReplyDeleteOh, and by the way, I've never followed the royal family and have little use for the young generations. But I've always admired Her Majesty.
