World Animal Day

MISSION OF WORLD ANIMAL DAY

To raise the status of animals in order to improve welfare standards around the globe.

Building the celebration of World Animal Day unites the animal welfare movement, mobilizing it into a global force to make the world a better place for all animals.

It's celebrated in different ways in every country, irrespective of nationality, religion, faith or political ideology.

Through increased awareness and education we can create a world where animals are always recognized as sentient beings and full regard is always paid to their welfare.

And, for your Twozday viewing pleasure:

Those darn squirrels tease me a lot too!!
Good thing mum does not always understand cat or she would not like me swearing at the squirrels.

  2. At my house evfurryday is World Animal Day. After the hurricane left, my pawrents spent time ushering a bird, dragonfly, flutterbys, and a bumbly bee from our Catio, and many bugs from our huge water bowls.

  3. World Animal Day!?! And we missed it! We have so much wildlife around here. Last night we heard the wolves, the coyotes and then the Bear splashing in the rive (as well as all the night creatures like the racoons and the bats). Yet during the day, you would never know they are our neighbors! We love them all! Keep being awesome! Purrs Marv

  5. We love all the wildlife, too...but those crazy deer seem to think the road is there for their use...um...bad idea. Same with various other critters.
Our peeps enjoy feeding the birdies, and now that we have a fenced yard there are a lot less other beasties trying to gobble it up...we used to get coons, and possums in the yard at night.
Us pups try to eradicate the mice, moles and voles and not a few garden snakes if we can...petcretary wishes we would have more mercy, though...

  6. No wonder the boys can't take their eyes of that thing! The squirrel is waving its tail back and forth repeatedly daring them to do something. And we are all for animal rights, too. There are still too many folks who are cruel.
