It's PO'Monday!
Early January, 2016.
Celestial Pommy was as lovable as ever, despite the cold and snow:
His feets are in focus, at least! |
He was fluffy, not chonky...right? |
Hope all who are affected by the cold across the globe are doing okay.
The Hubby and I are contemplating the purchase of a treadmill, as the extreme cold makes it dangerous for me to complete my extended walks in the 'hood.
But don't want another piece of exercise equipment that becomes a clothes hanger; if anyone has experience with home treadmills, please comment.
We have a treadmill and do use it when weather is so cold! One has to be sure it will be used, and it's important to get a fairly good one that won't break down and be a waste of money. They are expensive but the flimsy ones don't work well and are not good for your walk. You can read a book on the part that is the control panel or listen to podcasts or music with your phone and earplugs. So yes, they are worth it but you have to really want to use it, haha.
ReplyDeleteWe have a treadmill but it is now down in the barn. I used it regularly until medication messed up my bones and joints. I should start using it again now I have neuropathy in my feet to try and strengthen my legs and improve my balance. There is a power socket right next to it so there is no excuse not to use it. Actually there is. It is far too cold to go down to the barn so maybe I will wait until it gets warmer. Then I will say it is too hot LOL!
ReplyDeleteI had a treadmill and I must admit probably the first 5 years I used it a lot. The next 5 years I used it once in awhile. And then I never used it again and sold it and do not miss it. But I do miss walking outside because I cannot go out in this bitter bitter cold and snow. Love the pictures of that sweet boy.
ReplyDeleteummm....errr..... nothing wrong with a liddle chonk...... dee mum walks on a inside track at our fitness center and listens to music on her phone connected to a wifi. if we had room for a treadmill in the house, she would use it alot. but it would have to be in its own area in the house that wouldn't interfere with the aesthetics, you know like having a home office set up in the house and having to look at it during the off hours, kind ruins the vibes of the sanctuary..
ReplyDeleteThey will become clotheshangers that you eventually want out of your home. I walk around the house when it's cold. Find a path and walk. It works for me. I walk six days a week and do it when it's hot and when it's cold.
ReplyDeleteI loved him as you did. He loved you back.
Have a fabulous day and week. ♥
Paddy was always ready for the loving! Good luck with the treadmill and I hope it gets used for walking!
ReplyDeleteHe was such a love. XO
ReplyDeleteHe was not chonky.
ReplyDeleteI've had pieces of exercise equipment come and go, and they don't use themselves. The only ones that worked were the ones i committed to using and did use regularly.
