Poppin'!

January 19 is National Popcorn Day

Learn more here: Popcorn Central

I am a popcorn-a-holic; could eat it morning, noon, and night!

When left to my own devices, ie. unsupervised, I'll find a non-seasoned bag to munch on as I shop or while on my way to or from an event.

Yep, I LURV POPCORN.

*I also love watermelon, artichokes, and pasta: will NEVER say no to any of these foods!

  1. Love that popcorn flake! I don't like popcorn. I used to love it when we went to the fair because it had a sweet coating. I didn't have it for years, and one day when we were in Canada we went to the cinema and both had popcorn. It was horrible and tasted of pure salt! I have never had it since.

    1. Theater popcorn is the worst!
When we were kids, we popped our own and brought it to the movies to enjoy.
As I haven't been to see a film in many years, I enjoy kettle corn at art fairs and celtic gatherings, which is sweet.

  3. Got to love that picture of a ginger cat. One of these days I'm going to have to make the effort to go into the popcorn Museum in Marion. I remember when they used to have the popcorn Festival but now that they don't grow popcorn in our state anymore there is no Festival.

  4. I'm guessing that last picture is of the short lived popcorn diet. And popcorn never seems to last the length of any movie we have started to watch. I bet they count on that when they have the long, long run in to the movies.MOL

    1. The tough thing about eating popcorn is the escapees; no matter what, kernels end up on the floor or in your lap.

  11. I always have a bowl of popcorn with my Saturday-night movie, and yes, a shell always gets stuck somewhere... Whenever I hear or see the word 'popcorn', I think of the piece of music from 1972, by the group (wait for it)...Hot Butter.
