Three Years Ago...

In May, 2018, I was in England, with sisters, nieces, and family friends.

On our last full day in the country, I journeyed to Avebury, in Wiltshire.

The Avebury Henge is less known than Stonehenge, but a person has access to the stones!

Here are some pics; hope you understand the size of these monoliths.

I wore my green cat scarf, purchased in London.

Ready to take the train!
It was an experience filled with magic and ancient history.

Hope to visit England again, and plan to get to other parts of Europe too.

Don't worry, I've got plenty of places to visit in Canada and America yet!

  3. When I was younger you were able to walk around Stonehenge and touch the stones. I prefer Avebury though. The site is older and bigger and feels much more personal. (I live about 100 miles from there.)

  5. MY son got to see Stonehenge, not this one that you went to, Avebury. He was surprised how small Stonehenge really was as all the pictures of it make the stones look so tall. I'll mention this to him. Bet he will make sure he sees it. Love the pictures and as with others I will thank you for sharing them. LOVE the scarf!

  10. What a fantastic magical place. I enjoyed it much more than Stonehenge. It has been 35 years since I was there, it hasn't changed!
