Pfft...

3 August is National Watermelon Day!

Pfft is the sound of someone spitting out seeds.

Sadly, The Eastside Cats are currently sans watermelon, however some cute pics were taken in August 2019 for your entertainment:
Da Boyz are curious.
Celestial Angel appears flummoxed.
Nice frootbat ears, however.
Someone here LURVs watermelon, almost as much as she...er, um...'they' enjoy popcorn, and raw almond butter.

Someone else has promised that he...er, um...'they' would purchase a luscious one for their mutual enjoyment, yet no one has seen a gorgeous green orb ready for quick dismemberment YET!

Am betting everyone else on this planet will have watermelon today...except us...

*SOB*

...sniffle...

Well, let's be pleased/gratified/fulfilled for this wonderful berry!🍉

  1. I love all types of melon. I had Galia melon with berries for my breakfast this morning.

  3. We did not have watermelon. Mom doesn't like melon of any kind because of the weird texture. She has bought it in the past a time or two to make dog treats, but it is too much work she says.

  5. Did you know that horses also love watermelon? It's been so cool here so far this summer that we haven't yet had any, but soon!

  6. Occasionally I would spend a month of summer with a dear cousin. I remember my Aunt...his mom of course, splitting a watermelon and sending us out side to eat and spit!

  7. That watermelon was a little too big to be a cat toy!

  9. Our local farmer's market provides some lovely options. Unfortunately, my husband isn't a fan and I don't eat enough to justify the cost. We compromise on other fruits, instead. Be well, my dears!
