January, 2013:

Celestial Paddy O'Malley tried to entice me outside, by making a spectacle of himself as seen through the front door cat flap.

Paddy: "Come outside!"

Paddy: "Okay then, I'll just make myself at home."
*lick lick lick*

Having made it outside onto the back deck

Paddy: "Now, that's SO MUCH BETTER!
You get to see me in my entirety!"

That was some entirety, Pommy...you big ol' roly poly!

A few images of Henry:

The Hubby and I believe that Henry thinks of our yard as her home sweet home.

She appears to be quite fond of Da Boyz, while still fearful of humans.

However, each day I get a skosh closer, and have brushed her fur just a touch a few times.

At least she's not afraid of my phone camera!

It's PO'Monday, and we had a photo shoot in August, 2019.

Of course, Pommy was in front, leaving Sweetie behind.

He was cute as he slept!

It's Twozday...and maybe it's going to be Threezday someday soon!

Henry decided to check out Da Boyz, who were both very polite.

She ran away to hide if the humans showed up, until I managed to sneak forward enough to snap a few images.

And here they are, snuggled together with the morning sun shining in their faces.

I believe it's Manny on the left, looking like a deer caught in the headlights!

He Did It Again

Ooh, so happy to get pics of Sweetie!

She was basking in the sun.

And then, Celestial Paddy O'Malley wanted to be the star attraction!

Y'all know that I have tons of PO'M photos, so I have many of his photobomb images too.

When 'O' Cat Sweetie was shy, Paddy didn't have to worry about being on center stage, but as she gained confidence to stay nearby, he simply HAD to insert himself into the shot.

Henry

This two-toned kitty seems to be sticking around.

'He' hides under the neighbor's desk, drinks water from our sump pump discharge pool (gross!), but he's begun to nervously approach when I pour out kibble.

We've put out fresh water, and the squirrels and raccoons like it, but Henry still drinks from the pool.

Henry as a name came to me as I sat on the deck, talking to him as he watched me from next door.

Maybe it's because I'd recently finished two books about Kings Richard III and Henry VII, but when I mentioned that to The Hubby, he started singing an oldie song by Herman's Hermits about Henry VIII!

No one needs that ear worm...NOBODY!

So, am thankful today that I cut across his singing before that could implant into my brain.

It's PO'Monday!

During this incredible frigid weather, we currently have no cats to administer to outside.

But I'll always feel the delight in being with these lovely cats, even when the weather was less than hospitable. 

Those Were The Days

It's Sweetnesday!

A strong cold front barreled across the state yesterday, bringing bitter temps and high winds.

Watching Sweetie snuggled warm in her Sweetie Spa, brought memories of her existence as an 'O' Cat, and I leafed through the photo library to pick a few December images of those bygone days. 

Sweetie is not easy to photograph; she wasn't then, and she isn't now.

But by gosh, I love her dearly, and am honored to be her human forever.

All Paws On Deck...

...or up in the air?

It's PO'Monday!

Spring was in the air on April 6, 2019, and Celestial Paddy O'Malley was waving his paws in enjoyment of the sunshine and the warmish temperatures.

Or, perhaps, he was flirting with me?

Tracks

 Evidence of outside cats from this morning!

This image is taken from Sweetie's upstairs apartment window.
The cats go from under the neighbor's deck at the top of the photo, to our sump pump discharge puddle, then into our yard.

More tracks to and from the alley out back.

The sidewalk is a virtual pawprint highway!

Walkway in front of our house.

Although there are tracks, we do not often see the critters!

Are they stray cats, owned but outside cats, or feral?  Dunno yet!

I put out fresh water every morning, and will leave kibble if I see a cat in the area.

The draw is strong to the sump pump puddle, yet no one is yet making a habit of enjoying the kibble.

I sat on the deck...

The Hubby has removed The Cat Hotel, The Stairway to Heaven, and The Feeding Station.

I am thankful that he did this while I was unaware; I would have cried.

He's tucked it all away, ready to be used again should a new stray cat come to stay.

I sat on the deck, alone, and remembered.

The PO'M's photo was shown on PO'Monday's post this week.

Hobo was the trailblazer, and I am thankful for the day he wandered past our open back door.

Once we noticed his behavior, we set out food.

And so it began.

Yes, I am thankful, as these outdoor cats taught me how to love at a distance.

Then, when Paddy O'Malley showed up, we were bowled over by his friendliness!

PO'Monday!

Paddy O'Malley isn't amused by the roofers, who've scattered tools and electric wires all over his deck!

We snuggle together in solace, since while I'm working inside, the banging, pounding, and yelling are right over my head.

HALP!

Monday O'Malley!

The PO'M used all of his whiles to convince me that my torso would be a PURRFECT beddy for him!

He threw every bit of cute at me...

"Aww, c'mon, Mama!"

"I so sleepy..."

I allowed him to climb into my lap, where he quickly settled down... 

"Ooh, this is so comfy..."

"Zzzzzzzz..."

 However, the deck is NOT very comfortable on my backside, so after close to an hour, I had to move The P'OM off of my body, and get up!

The idea was easier than the enactment: HALP!

After a few minutes, I was on my feet, after some interesting machinations.

"No worries, Mama.  I'll fall asleep again!"
