Two-zday

Screen-door whiffies!
The Hubby removed the heavy storm door, and dragged the screen door out for our rear entrance.  Da Boyz were looking out before the dust, cobwebs, and general detritus could be swept off.  But how could we deny these two cuties their first few moments of breathing the Spring air?

My vacation was astounding, and I'll post more about it soon, because...CATS!  However, one never knows when the memory of a passed loved one will hit.  While packing for my trip, I grabbed the pill organizer that we've had for eons, to keep my vitamins and stuff organized while traveling.  What should I discover, but the last bits of Chucky's medicines in one of the compartments.

These meds helped keep Chuck alive for almost three years after the diagnosis of his bad heart
That stab of pain was so unexpected.  Took my breath away, and I sat on my bed, dry-eyed, but my body wracked with pain.  Oh, Chuck!  It's been 1-1/2 years since your passing, and I miss you so.

I put the pill pieces back, closed up the container, and put it on the shelf.  I'm not ready to throw them away.

  2. The boys are enjoying the fresh spring air indeed. Purrfect.

I get the saving the pills and container. We have a shrine for our Little Bit. Her favorite treats, her collar, her ashes and her first toy. We miss her so too.

Have a purrfect day. My best to your wonderful peeps. ♥

  3. Our dose of the boyz at last!

Our mom has a vial of Epogen in the refrigerator that was for Sophie, and she's been gone for almost 16 years now. It's even come with us every time we've moved since, so Mom understands.

  4. Yes, I fully understand. I lost mine in January, and I don't feel like I'm ever getting over their absence. Just so much emptiness.

  11. I can beat that but I'd be embarrassed to say why. I'll say instead that I have dishes from my babies and collars, tags, whiskers, furs, and a heart filled with love.

  12. Screen doors are the best!

My Sophie still answers my phone because she was always talking when I recorded my message. I lost her in 2006.

I have the dish that Fawn ate from that I actually broke before she died in 1999. I still have the two pieces and I'm not ready yet.

I learned and then accepted it when my mother died, don't give up anything until you're ready or it will be one of the most painful things you've every done, no matter what the memento is. The time will come for that.

  13. I understand how our Rainbow Bridge babies' memories can sneak up on us. I found my self crying earlier over one of my dogs that was gone too soon. I am so sorry for you sudden discovery. XXOO

I read you loud and clear. I still have Madi's favorite pet bed..her very favorite was a human bed w/o humans in it. And I have her litter boxes, toy basked and both perches. After all I need to be prepared in case the grandkitties come callin'. Boston Cooler. Yummmy Never seen that type of ginger ale but I love vanilla ice cream

  19. It is something how deeply we love and care about all our furs and especially those who are now Angels. Dad remembers all of ours on a weekly basis and says he is amazed how the memories flood in. Over time it is more fond reminisce than the loss that is felt. We have a lot of little reminders around our home and they will always be there

  20. Oh I know what you feel. I'm always sad when I think about my fur friends who have crossed the 'rainbow bridge'. I miss them a lot. I would love to cuddle them again <3

  21. It's definitely the little things that get you. I still have my Angel Tara's last bottle of insulin in the fridge and she's been gone nearly 6 years.
