Cats Getting Medieval

Medieval monk illustrated manuscripts were a bit unspecific on the details of feline anatomy, yet our meme humorists didn't let that stand in the way of humor!

C.A.T.S.

Was very fortunate to have a VIP Tour of CATS Cat Advocates Teaching & Saving Society, in Comox, BC.

So much to see, only managed a few pics of kittens:

CATS is a volunteer-only cat rescue that works hard to find lost and relocated cats, to reduce the burden  of pet food and supply costs for the community, and educate cat owners to make the world a better place for themselves and their furry family members.

Have huge respect for CATS, and am happy to donate what I can, since I live over 4,000 kilometers away, and am unable to volunteer much.

And another gratuitous pic of Sweet Pea, who is a lovely kitty who falls asleep in my lap because she's doing her part to prevent my homesickness for Da Boyz and Henry.

The Hubby...well, I'm sure he's doing just fine without me...

Saugatuck

For a family wedding, we were in Saugatuck, Michigan.

For more information on this quaint town near Lake Michigan, try here.

While many folks were walking dogs in the shopping district, of course I managed to find CATS!

These babies had been TNR'd, as they have eartips.

This cat did not enjoy close human proximity.

These two were so very friendly!

While traveling through town, we pulled over because I was sure these were cat cutouts in the window shutters!

Alas, they aren't cats but squirrels, but they are cute.

Always on the look out for cats!

Purrfect Place to Nap: On A Book

Aww, so cute!

23-29 April, 2023

"Celebrate National Library Week with the theme "There's More to the Story." Libraries are full of stories in a variety of formats from picture books to large print, audiobooks to ebooks, and more. But there's so much more to the story."

National Read A Book Day

September 9 is National Read A Book Day!

In general, cats like books because they make good places to sleep, but one never knows if they don't absorb the writing as they nap!

I've recently finished book #6 of the Cormoran Strike series, by Robert Galbraith, entitled "The Ink Black Heart"; fabulous!

Am currently re-reading the DCI Craig Gillard series by Nick Louth.

Other authors who have new books coming out this month:

Wrexford & Sloane series, by Andrea Penrose

DI Haskell & Quinn Crimes, by Bilinda P. Sheehan

Detective Clare Mackay series, by Marion Todd

What are you reading?

On May 26, 1897, Bram Stoker's book, "Dracula" was published.

I've watched many Dracula and vampire movies, but the book is better!

Here are some cat vampire memes for your viewing pleasure, all scrounged from the interwebs.

❤️I am thankful for cats.🐈

❤️Thankful for books, and the pleasure of reading.📚

❤️Thankful for The Hubby, as we observe the anniversary of our first date on 10/31;

We've been an item since that day, and it takes both of our combined fingers and toes to add up the years since.❤️

Cats Books Tea

 Shhh!

Don't tell The Hubby, but I've found some terrific shirts online recently!

Am thankful to be able to reflect my passions: cats, books, and tea.

We'll discuss inflatable T-Rex costumes some other time.😹
