It's Twozday!

Da Boyz are snuggly, when they aren't:

1) trying to sneak upstairs

2) watching out the open back door, which often includes Henry looking back in.
On MY chair.
On the futon.
Again, they took over MY chair.
A funny thing about MY chair; it makes me sleepy!

No matter what time of day, a few minutes sitting there causes lots of yawns and lassitude.

Guess that's why Manny and Chili Bruce enjoy it so.

~~~
Thanks all for your well wishes after my small yellowjacket 'event' on Sunday.
Discovered at least two previously missed stings, yet with the correct timing of topical anti-itch cream, and antihistamine and pain tablets, I'm doing pretty well.
I've begged off from a couple of meetings, because wearing underthings is uncomfortable, but I couldn't bring myself to 'go commando' in public.
Working from home has worked out nicely for stung-up me!
A Double Special 9/22
Autumnal Equinox: Sunday, Sep 22, 2024, 8:43 AM Eastern
At today's equinox, the sun appears directly above Earth’s equator; it’s crossing from north to south.
As usual, here are some of my Stonehenge funnies in honor of the season change:
Above images found on the interwebs.
Hey!
It's our 11th Blogoversary.
Our first post was September 22, 2013.
Before learning to blog, I would send emails to family and friends, relating the antics of of our inside cats and the outside cats.
Appreciate all of our readers, and love your comments.
THANK YOU!
❤️❤️❤️
Don't let her fool you
Thank you all for your kind comments on our reaching our 9th Blogoversary.
I have so much fun here.
💗😻💗😻💗
Since we missed it yesterday...it's Sweetnesday today!
Now, you may think Queen Sweet The First is a lazy, pampered housepanther.
You note that she is often photographed while snoozing...
...Often in the window, with sunshine warming her fur.
And yet, just who made these dusty paw prints on my laptop...on top of my desk?
And nope, you cannot say "Manny or Chili Bruce did it!" because they are locked downstairs, while only one cat is in the Sweetie Suite, formerly known as Angel's Apartment.
Which is where my office...er, um...desk and computers, monitors, cables, printer, piles of paperwork, etc. are.
Yep, that sleepy kitty is still mountain climbing!
Her placid image is a ruse; she's got mischief up her fur.
Along with her murder mitts...
Thankful Thursday: Oh Canada!
Yesterday, I had the distinct pleasure of traveling to Windsor, Ontario for a office event.  How fortunate am I, that I can be in another sovereign nation within less than an hour's travel!  I tried in vain to find a good image of a Canadian flag flying while I was there, so I could snap a selfie, but the only flags we saw were at the border crossing.  Figuring that the authorities would NOT enjoy my jumping out of the car to snap a photo, I have no evidence of my day trip.
Haven't visited our neighbo(u)r to the North in years, but it turns out that I have some very, VERY dear friends who live there, and some of them are bloggers!
CAT BLOGGERS!
Today, I am thankful for our Canadian furry friends, and for the entire country, so to speak.  I'll never forget the kindness shown during 9/11/01, when U.S. airspace was closed, planes couldn't fly, and travelers needed help.  Canada opened her arms to those in need, and she will always remain in my heart for her genero(u)sity.  Oh, yes...and hockey.
Here is a list of cat bloggers from Canada that I follow:
I Have Three Cats
Pets Overload
The Canadian Cats
Just Cats
Wandering Cat Studio
Nerissa's Life
Marvelous Is Marvelous
Hairballs and Hissyfits
House Panthers
Mickey's Musings
Stillness At Cherith
If I mistakenly left anyone off of this list, please let me know!  Sorry...as they say in Canada. 😽
So, Let's Hop!
Thankful Thursday: Wand Toy
Tomorrow, I see my hand surgeon.  Most likely, my pins will come out.  Just typing that makes me squirm… however many people have told me it's no big deal, including the surgeon!
Adjusting to only using my right hand has been interesting. Doorknobs have been the worst! Eating a sandwich one-handed can be a challenge also.  Hooking one's brassiere, and pulling on or off clothes, is almost a comedy.
I am thankful for all of the assistance that I've received from The Hubby especially, and coworkers, and family members.  Everyone has bolstered my emotions, when I was frustrated, feeling blue, or when I tried to do too much!  Turns out, many folks have similar stories to mine, about their hand or fingers, a toe or ankle, knees, elbows, shoulders, etc.  Knowing that I am in such company, I feel slightly less squirmy…and I vow to face the un-pinning with good humor!
And, you know how to play with a wand cat toy?
Manny and I played 'catch the ribbon', while he luxuriated
in a commonly seen box!
I had a Neko Flies toy in my right hand, for Chili Bruce, and the tie-died fabric wand toy stuck into my splint and bandages for Manny!  It worked!
P.S.  I corrected my post from yesterday.  I came across Chuck's photo from a year ago, and he looked so handsome!  I miss him, and am joyful that we brought two Chuck look-alikes into our home; Da Boyz are a delight, even as they tear up the place.  Thank you for your kind comments.
Let's HOP!
Thankful Thursday: Post Hospital
On Tuesday, the surgeon decided that he could stabilize my broken bones with pins, and did not have to make an incision.  I am thankful for that!  While they wheeled me around in the hospital bed, I asked the nurses to give me a Hello Kitty cast if they had one.  When I woke up, they'd drawn a cat face on a piece of tape, affixing it to my soft cast.  Wasn't that sweet?
The Hubby made this drawing while I was in surgery.
Seriously, can these two kitties get any cuter?
Double the trouble, but double the love!
I spent the rest of Tuesday, and all of Wednesday at home: napping, watching seriously bad TV, and even doing a bit of work on my laptop.  Today, I'm at the office, but taking it very slowly.
Thank you all for the well-wishes!  Seems more than appropriate to join Brian's Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!
Thankful Thurs...um, Friday: Gingers
Mango
Rusty, hiding in the paper;
Napping together, after strenuous
exploration of the delivery box!
I am thankful for my friends, who send me photos of their cats.  Love to see them!  The boys above are from P&M in Florida, and these are just two of their cat family.  Mango is fluffalicious, and Rusty is all ginger boy!  I want to reach into the photos and smooch them!  Aren't they too cute?
💕😻💗😻💕
And, we are very thankful for the well-wishes for Patty O'Malley!  Random Felines and many others suggested Veterycin spray, and I've been spritzing his wound at least twice a day, more if it is not raining buckets or the temperatures outside are too cold.  Although not pretty, the bare spot appears to be healing, or at least not infected.  I don't want to get ahead of myself, and bring bad luck.  Your prayers and warm fuzzies mean all the world to us!  Thank you.
Okay, a day late...but, we're still hopping!
Tortilla Chips Or Kibble and Love Is All You Need
This is how the bag looks from several steps away...
...and here is a close-up!
My co-worker walked past my office, and decided that I had tortilla chips in a box, waiting for him to enjoy!  Imagine his surprise when he realized that he'd picked up a bag of cat food, which awaits donation distribution later this week.
Glad he didn't tear open the package!  Although I would have laughed until it hurt if he's stuck a handful of kibble in his yap.
😺😺😺
Today is National Coming Out Day, and I applaud any person who is loving and kind, especially to animals!  Love is the only way out of this global mess; love for each other, love for Mother Nature and the environment, love for critters, love of ourselves.
💕💙💚💛💜💕
Updates on Chuck:
The veterinarian very kindly sent me an email last night, detailing the doses of meds that we are already giving Chuck, and she recommends that we increase the Lasix dose.  From 1 full pill in AM and PM, to 2-1/2 pills, adding 1/2 pill midday.  The Hubby said, "Ain't no big deal", and confirmed again as I left the house this morning that he's on it!
And of course, Chuck is seems to be better, even though we've changed no doses yet!  Could it be all of the love and well-wishes from you all?!?
I think SO!
Thank you very much, from the bottom on my heart.
