Star Trek debut aired on US Television on September 8, 1966.
Creator Gene Roddenberry introduced audiences to a world that championed diversity, inclusion, acceptance, and hope.
I know there have been other Star Trek series, movies, cartoons, etc.
Yet my ❤️ will always belong to 'TOS': The Original Series.
Some of my favorite Dr. McCoy quotes:
"I'm a doctor, not a bricklayer!"
"I'm a doctor, not an escalator."
"I'm not a magician, Spock - just an old country doctor."
"I will not peddle flesh. I'm a physician."
"I'm a doctor, not a coal miner."
😹😹😹
I agree, the original series was the best.
ReplyDeleteI remember watching those for years. I really don't care for the new super Bluey sci-fi stuff that's out now
ReplyDelete1966? Makes me feel my age ~ but sure loved it then, and now (the original, of course)!
ReplyDeleteDad says he remembers (amazing, says I) watching the original series faithfully growing up.

ReplyDeleteMy hubby and I are Trekkies. My hubby has been since the original ran on tv.
ReplyDeleteI forget whether it was SCTV or SNL but during a 'Star Trek' spoof, I recall Kirk asking McCoy to help someone who was in medical distress, and Bones yelled out, "Damn it, Jim, I'm a doctor, not a--- Oh, yeah, right..."
ReplyDeleteI am a strong fan of TOS, and the other iterations as well but particularly TOS. I can about say the dialogue with them I have seen each one so often but...I, my sons as well are completely enamored of the series. We watch it every chance we get. When I still had Netflix I watched...binge watched, all of them including TNG, Voyager, DS9, you name it...I binged on it.
ReplyDeleteStar Trek TOS is the best. We love those Dr. McCoy-isms.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely TOSsies here too😺😺Extra Pawkisses🐾😽💞
ReplyDeleteRest in peace, intrepid explorers who've passed before us. What a beloved crew. Best wishes, my dear, and thanks for the giggles.
ReplyDeleteThat first meme cracked our mom up! Love the Star Wars Enterprise Rocking Horse. XOCK, angels Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta & Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth, Calista Jo, Cooper Murphy, Sawyer, Kizmet, Audrey & Raleigh
ReplyDeleteI have a book called "Trek or Treat" with funny captions on stills from TOS. One of my favorites is Kirk with a mischievous smile on his face captioned, "Anyone for skinny dipping?"
